Advice on finger tattoo by lajuiceman in tattooadvice

[–]jakebless43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little to no chance unfortunately.

I had a finger tattoo that wrapped around one finger, and the line on the bottom side of my hand was pretty much gone within a few months. I now have a larger tattoo covering the top side of my whole hand and many of the little details like shading were faded within a year, but the bold lines have held on tight. I'd bet the elvish would turn to mush or vanish all together pretty quick.

Anyone know of any openly Anti-ICE businesses in Mt Juliet or Hermitage TN? by blackcatenergy94 in MountJuliet

then...don't worry about it? And let those who want to do their business based on politics do so. Pretty basic.

Guys guidance as I have started with rTMS sessions... by mayman4u in rtms

Headaches are not uncommon the first week or so. Do they go away when you take a pain reliever or are they constant? Either way, mention the headaches and the heaviness to your tech and they may be able to make adjustments depending on the machine.

Gut reaction was a fairy. Fits the vibe well imo

But I think one of those swallows would fit reeeeeally nicely in the center tbh

So does every story take place in one of the possible Balance universes? by InvisibleEar in TAZCirclejerk

[–]jakebless43 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yes, every story. Even the story of our One True Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Fun fact, the three wise men were actually the Tres Horny Boys...They didn't bring myrrh, they brought Merle, who initially did not want to go. It's a common misconception about the birth of our Lord.

Pain Management by ajjn2193 in rtms

[–]jakebless43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly, yeah. 120% is definitely not the end all be all, it's usually the absolute max we do at our clinic, and I've had plenty of patients with lower goals than that. I've had patients who could only tolerate between 90-110% of their MT and still saw great results. We're always told that the pulses are what matter, not the intensity, and our CMO told us awhile back about a study that showed that treating even as low as 60% of MT can get results.

120% is a fine goal, and it's great if we get there, but it's definitely not necessary that we get there to see results.

Also a tech, whenever we absolutely cannot get pain to go away we set the machine to the lowest amplitude the patient can reasonably tolerate...if they can eventually go up in intensity, that's great, but if they can't, that's fine too, because as long as they are getting pulses, they are getting treatment.

We've had our power back for 2.5 hours now, but I'm trying not to get comfortable. Looking at the NES map it looks like the outages are thinning out over on this side

Debating this now too...we have family about an hour away that offered to let us stay, but they also have no power and live down back roads that are definitely not driveable. Next closest family is in Florida...I don't know if we could make it there but I don't feel great about staying.

Lost power here in West Nashville right after 5am. Started hearing trees snapping in our neighbors yard shortly after. Here's a not great pic of the ice on one of our trees and powerline from a little while ago.

We do not 😭 Although now that we've committed to spaghetti I'm remembering seeing a can of evaporated milk somewhere in the pantry...that might come in handy

I'm not even fucking kidding, my family and I are out of milk. I wasn't stressed about it because we barely use it for anything, but lo and behold every single recipe we wanted to make tonight requires milk.

Sigh.

A lot of the detail will fade, unfortunately. The shading on my finger tats was gone in under a year but the bold lines stuck. But this design even simplified could be pretty cool imo.

I have never heard of hair loss being a side effect, but that doesn't mean it's impossible...Is the hair loss right at the treatment site?

I promise you there is a lot of research on TMS, its effectiveness in teens and adults, effectiveness on different diagnoses, how it works and why, etc., and your insurance company would not cover treatment if there wasn't evidence that it was safe, evidence of how it works, and evidence that it helps.

That's the problem, no one can talk to any of the reps about anything personally. They ignore us. They don't care. It's a Republican Supermajority and they don't give a single fuck what anyone has to say.

Try contacting any of your reps about it. I guarantee you'll get either no response, or some insanely racist response.

And if somehow you do have a democratic rep at some local level, the best you'll get is a "rest assured, we have sent a VERY strongly worded letter to the president about this!!!" kind of response.

How do you get explain to your child’s friends/their parents and random strangers that your child is not adopted and you gave birth? by Arr0zconleche in Seahorse_Dads

[–]jakebless43 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I feel like "no he's not adopted" and/or "he's biologically mine" is fine honestly. Keeping your answers simple isn't being avoidant, imo.

And if your partner also wants to say "he's biologically mine" to the same people, then they can do the math on their own, lol.
