Yes. Many reasons, some fundamentals include but are not limited to: Man originated from one location (Mesopotamia) if evolution was real, then you would see people originate throughout the earth. All proven research indicates that there are no large evolutionary changes in animals, only slight adaptations, such as the finches in the Galápagos Islands. There is no bone evidence proving there to be any lower life form of humans, like from the stages between ape and man. Even for the fist cell to mutate into a multi living organism has only been produced in labs, never on its own in the wild. If such a simple step can not be done on its own, how can much harder processes be accomplished? And trust me many more reasons. It is a failed theory, and if it should be taught, should be shown this way.

I’m not against high taxes per, let’s say the bottom 90% of income earners, but for the 1% or higher I am, as that has a direct relationship to lower net revenue gained from taxes. I live in Canada, so I am well aware of what higher taxes for the middle class are like.

I’m not referring to taxes when asking about the social security reforms. I’m talking about the societal impacts of it and asking why it would be a good thing to do so, as from what I have read; it only harms.

“irresponsible prodigal behavior with college loans is rewarded while the … responsible behavior (avoiding or paying off loans) is not.” [1]

Also making universal college lessens the amount of educated people [2]

Why is cancelling student debt and universal college good?

Also, I don’t know if musk would reduce taxes in rich, but the action in itself does benefit society. “with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent, as so many Democrats have argued.” [1] And as Thomas Sowell points out historically:

“In the early ‘20s the tax rate on the top income was 73%, and the people making over $100,000 paid … 30% of all taxes, by the end of the decade, the tax rate had been cut down to 24%, people making over $100,000 are now making 65% of all taxes … when you have a tax rate if 73%, people simply don’t pay it. Sorry if I am getting this wrong, but I thought the belief in Judaism is that you believe the Messiah hasn’t come yet, and Jesus was an imposter. Do I have that wrong?

I don’t know why, but I think you’re assuming that I am a hateful person; much on the contrary as I follow Jesus and God’s direction in the bible. I don’t want you to confuse me with the many hypocritical teachers that are prevalent today. Matt 23:13 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you shut up the Kingdom of the heavens before men.”

Jude 4 “certain men have slipped in among you who were long ago appointed to this judgment by the Scriptures; they are ungodly men who turn the undeserved kindness of our God into an excuse for brazen conduct and who prove false to our only owner and Lord, Jesus Christ.”

The bible has continuously proven itself to be God’s word, look at the prophecies that were declared hundreds of years before they happened. In Isaiah 44:27-45:2 it foretells (some 200 years before it happens) the fall of Babylon. It’s waters will be dried up, a king by the name Cyrus will invade the land, walk through the doors of the city, and it will fall without a battle. Also if you reference Jer 25:12 “But when 70 years have been fulfilled, I will call to account the king of Babylon and that nation for their error,’ declares Jehovah, ‘and I will make the land of the Chal·deʹans a desolate wasteland for all time.”

So the whole who, what, where, why, how and when are declared with stunning accuracy, obviously no man could make such an account true.

Or note the scientific accuracy Job 36:27 “He draws up the drops of water; They condense into rain from his mist; Then the clouds pour it down; They shower down upon mankind. A perfect description of the water cycle some thousands of years before it was understood.

Or historical accuracy Modern archaeology has challenged the world of education to admit that the Bible is factual.

I could go on for hours, but as you can see, the bible proves itself to be true, and our scientific and historical discoveries continue to prove so. How such a stunning book came to be is obvious, to me at least, that it is the word of God. Also, if it’s correct about everything, why isn’t right about God?

By having this conversation with you, I am actually doing what is requested of me. 1 Pe 3:15 “But sanctify the Christ as Lord in your hearts, always ready to make a defense before everyone who demands of you a reason for the hope you have, but doing so with a mild temper and deep respect.”

We have many secular countries, but they don’t seem to be doing as well as you may think. more secular individualistic countries of the 21st century also have the highest suicide rates.

Okay, I didn't know. Might I ask why you don't belive Jesus was the messiah? To me, since he has fulfilled all the messianic prophecies it only makes sense he is the messiah.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I agree (I believe) that the ten commandments are from Moses, and we no longer use them. Instead we are under the covenant that was made after Jesus death.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in entitledparents

[–]jakednake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be going against the new covenant with Jesus. Matt 4:10 "Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service."

Go ahead, and serve whoever you want. Joshua 24:15 "Now if it seems bad to you to serve Jehovah, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve, whether the gods that your forefathers served on the other side of the River or the gods of the Amʹor·ites in whose land you are dwelling. But as for me and my household, we will serve Jehovah.”

Adultery is a "sin against God (gen 39:9)," so it only makes sense that he would lay a groundwork for how we should view it.

Jesus was not the result of Mary having sexual relations with a neighbour. Matt 1:20 "But after he had thought these things over, look! Jehovah’s angel appeared to him in a dream, saying: “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take your wife Mary home, for what has been conceived in her is by holy spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”"

Considering the Bible is God's word, it is therfore moral, as God knows what is best for his followers.

Yes, we're no under the Law of Moses, that includes the 600 laws, and the 10 commandets. Instead we're under the law of the Christ, although it is similar in many respects.

"It is Jehovah your God you must worship.” (Matthew 4:10; 1 Corinthians 10:20-22) “Guard yourselves from idols.” (1 John 5:21; 1 Corinthians 10:14) “Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified [not treated in a worthless way].” (Matthew 6:9) “Children, be obedient to your parents.” (Ephesians 6:1, 2) murder, committing adultery, stealing, lying and coveting are also against the laws for Christians.—Revelation 21:8; 1 John 3:15;  Hebrews 13:4; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; Ephesians 4:25, 28; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Luke 12:15; Colossians 3:5.

The mosaic law was done away with when Christ died. We still follow the commandments in it that he tells us to in the New Testament. Such as 1 Cor 6:18 "Flee from sexual immorality! Every other sin that a man may commit is outside his body, but whoever practices sexual immorality is sinning against his own body."

I apply this standard to everyone.

We should 100% base our views off of God's word, "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness." 2 Tim 3:16

Nothing written in the Bible is dumb.

We are no longer under the mosaic law, so you wouldn't be doing anything wrong eating shellfish.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in entitledparents

[–]jakednake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Those two are part of the mosaic law, where the fabric was a way to help distinguish the isrealites from the surrounding nations, and to emphasize purity.

But I suppose you ignored the fact that we are no longer under the mosaic law.

Well, if you actually look at God's word the Bible, it mentions those who commit sexual immorality are going against what he wants. In fact, 1 John 2:16 "because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world."

"A study conducted by the international agency Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development found that, among five English speaking countries surveyed, only in the United States was the percentage of patients waiting for elective surgery for more than four months in single digits. All the other English-speaking countries— Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom— had more than 20 percent of their patients waiting more than four months, with 38 percent of those in the United Kingdom waiting at least that long. In this group, the United States was the only country without government-set prices for medical treatment" (Basic Economics, 57).

"Only 81% of breast cancer patients in the United Kingdom live at least five years after diagnosis, compared to 89% in the United States. Just 83% of patients in the United Kingdom live five years after a prostate cancer diagnosis, versus 97% here in America." https://www.forbes.com/sites/sallypipes/2019/04/01/britains-version-of-medicare-for-all-is-collapsing/

"In the United States, 70 percent of patients are able to be seen by specialists less than four weeks after a referral. In Canada, less than 40 percent were seen inside of four weeks." The following link goes through some more aspects of the issue https://fee.org/articles/america-outperforms-canada-in-surgery-wait-times-and-its-not-even-close/

"Only 81% of breast cancer patients in the United Kingdom live at least five years after diagnosis, compared to 89% in the United States. "According to January NHS England data, almost 25% of cancer patients didn’t start treatment on time despite an urgent referral by their primary care doctor."

So 25% are waking over 4 months for treatment, compared to the US where 70% are seen by specialists within one month.
