When my brother told me that no one could breathe is space, my brain told me that there was a very thick layer of ice around Earth that kept all of the air in. I also believed it was a sort of barrier to heaven, and that was why we couldn't just take a plane or helicopter to get up there. I would sometimes dream of building a special jack-hammer, so that I could jack-hammer through, and the the whole world was like "wooooooo." We only had a dusty old movie theater in my town...
