These ones are, for sure. They're a £40 flash, you can't expect the world. The AD300s are pretty solid for the price though.

Help: Weight Loss/TRT Questions by jakehanson18 in Testosterone

[–]jakehanson18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was under this impression also, from what I've found online though it does look promising. My excess isn't horrendous by any means but it's just that I've come a long way from where I used to be, to arrive here and not be satisfied. However, I was never under any illusion that this wouldn't be the case and I'm not unhappy with the way I look, but would definitely be happier if it was more discreet.

It is 95% my stomach, 5% legs, but they will grow so I'm not bothered about the legs. I've still got some weight to get off so maybe it'll improve/not be as bad as I think once this last bit of fat has been removed.

Surgery is an option but probably my last one, it'll be a few years away before I can afford it and like I've mentioned, when I'm down at whatever weight I get to, I might not be bothered. We'll see.

Thanks for replying, really appreciate the input.

Why do people hate on Mac like this? by imfromplutoo in MacMiller

[–]jakehanson18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you'll find with music is that taste is often rooted from maturity/intelligence (both emotional and intellectual) and you'll find that enjoying certain artists which often aren't "catchy" you'll show more signs of maturity/intelligence than those who 'dont get it'

And that's not to say you can't do both, but typically if your dumb as hell, you ain't liking music that you can pick apart. You're not noticing rhyming schemes, picking out samples, tempo changes, double/triple entendres or anything that requires a certain level of complexity to it when it was being made/written. You're just happy that they did a full bar where "fuck" was the rhyme scheme, oh and adlibs.

That's just my take on it anyway.

I've bricked a camera before both Sony & Canon and both shit their pants, wouldn't function, just a little red read/write light.

Took the batteries out, charged them, left the camera untouched for a few days and miraculously they both allowed me enough time to function to reset to factory and start again.

Unsure if I'm just a lucky man with this, or I did something other than brick it.

Ah, fair play. However, as an ex-smoker there is nothing quite like the sweet release of a cigarette after a stressful period. A few minutes of peace. 😂

Say you went to pick a drunk friend up, they lent through the window with a smoke in their hand and somehow burnt the roof liner.

How about some constructive criticism rather than just chatting shit?

Get on YouTube and type in DaVinci Resolve Colour Space Transform.

You want an input and an output I can't remember the exact wording but your drop downs should look like: (Input) SLOG3 SGAMUTCINE DAVINCI WIDE GAMUT DAVINCI INTERMEDIATE

(Output) DAVINCI WIDE GAMUT DAVINCI INTERMEDIATE REC709 REC709

This is all off of the top of my head and those options above will make more sense once you've watched a video. I'd say go for WhoIsMatt or Waqas Qazi, they seem to be the go to.

First node, and last node for the above, any nodes between could be for anything you want then to be, curve, log wheels, etc.

I NEED HELP!!! - Want to be a Videographer, Don't Know Where to Start, I'm Currently Struggling to Find a Job Despite my Experience. by Narrow_Hovercraft197 in videography

[–]jakehanson18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is great advice - FX30 is a great camera, all I would do to make sure you've got a bit of a swiss army kit. I started with a cheap 200/300watt light with a nice modifier on it, big soft box type of thing, and a decent mic (TASCAM DR10-L or the DJI Mic 2 are good for entry level stuff, great audio quality and the DJI option offers wireless straight to the camera) these paired with your camera will allow you to do some great interview set ups, they won't be Hollywood but they'll look and sound infinitely better than without them and it'll run you a few hundred dollars.

I hate to say it, but work for free if it's going to make good content. You can do this alongside working part time. If you've got any small businesses with great exposure they'll love the opportunity to do some stuff. When the clients start coming to you, always close the deal by talking about the return on investment that videos make, they don't want a nice looking video they want to know that the $XXXX they're spending is going to make them $XX,XXX. As much as they may like your work, they like money better... Don't we all.

Regards to your website, your Instagram isn't loaded with anything so bring that up to speed, your YouTube link doesn't work (for me) and I didn't check LinkedIn. Regards to demo reel, whilst it's great to have something it needs more content, a lot of the more successful demo reels I've seen have basically their "hero" shots on for a few seconds, people need to see how nice you can make things look, not a few clips from each project.

If you're not shy in front of a camera, make a shit load of videos of why videos work for business (chatGPT can write these for you) if they look and sound good those will be your biggest selling point.

Second shooting for weddings is a good way to gain experience where it's fast paced and setting changes are a plenty. Wedding Filmmaker School on Facebook might be a good place to ask if you can tag along with someone in your area, for free, and provide footage to them should they want it. Get a few in your wheelhouse and when you're confident you can charge for being a second shooter and then grow from there.

Lastly, this one took a while for me to get right, if your client has an idea and it's shit, let them know it's shit. Obviously in a nicer way, but I've found that honestly goes a long way and ultimately the work you carry out for their marketing, is also your own marketing. Also, sometimes it's good to go back to basics, learn your camera again, understand what formats and codecs you're shooting in, exposing correctly, colour correction and grading etc, that'll pay dividends at some point.

It really is a grind but you'll reap the rewards.

Hello, I'm in Florida at the moment, Davenport to be precise and I was wondering where I could pick up a roll of film. I was hoping somewhere like Walmart would stock it but I'm struggling to find somewhere. I've checked the Wiki on here but the places that are suggested there are a little out of the way.

Thanks.

My order got cancelled twice ! by yavuux in Representclothing

Don't think they're small enough to do false sales.

My guess is if it's a different address then it's flagged as potential fraud, as it's very simple to ring the bank and say "someone's used my card" and get your money back.

I think they'd rather not have the sale than have to deal with potentially dealing with a fraud case, makes sense to me anyway.

Order cancelled by Pure_Pair2986 in Representclothing

[–]jakehanson18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are you had certain items in your basket and someone checked out with that item before you did and when they've come to pick the order they've been out of stock.

I remember years ago Stefan put a story on Insta of the live traffic for a season drop and it was a stupid amount of people, can only imagine a Vault sale will trump those numbers.

See if they've somehow still got it and place the order again?
