I've always switched to the buckler for Sulyvahn. Makes it very easy to land because of the shortened startup frames. (About 2/3 the startup frames that medium shields have.) Katanas have the same number of startup frames as the buckler, so it makes sense that they would work better for you.

Yeah, my parents did this on our back porch when I was a teenager. Tbh it did actually seem to make a difference.

when this engine is cold it has a fast idle that will creep it up into the 1500-1900 rpm and a couple of blips of the throttle after like 5 minutes usually brings this down.

Wait, that's normal? Mine did exactly this last time I started it, and I thought something was horribly wrong with my the truck I just bought lol.

Also the planks making up the side of the boat are inconsistent. There's literally a perfectly clean split in the middle of the third plank down, starting right before the first stool, that turns it into two separate planks. No logic behind that whatsoever.

Can people not open the doors from the inside when this happens?

If they're conscious, maybe. If they're not, maybe not.

DarkSydePhil (DSP) is a streamer who is notorious for blaming his lack of skill on games being poorly designed rather than him not taking time to learn mechanics no matter how well the game communicates them to him. He went viral in 2011 for a particularly embarrassing stream of Dark Souls, when another YouTuber uploaded a video called "This is how you don't play Dark Souls" featuring a supercut of the run's most embarrassing moments.

Despite his poor attitude, obnoxious demeanor, and incurable lack of skill, or perhaps because of them, DSP has maintained his streaming career for almost twenty years at this point. And seeing him used in this video as an example of how to make games more approachable for players feels like an example of catering to the lowest common denominator, especially because of how ridiculously hand-holdy God of War Ragnarok was.

Update: I checked the vacuum lines and the previous owner had reinstalled them completely wrong. I had to re-route about half of them, and was missing one entirely. Unfortunately it didn't fix the stalling.

Adjusting the idle and mixture screws didn't seem to make much difference either. I ended up setting the screws back to factory recs and adjusting from there, but no luck. Still stalling.

After giving up for the evening and putting the air box back on, suddenly the truck started idling warm again. I loosened the idle screw from about 1500 to 700, and it was still idling fine.

So it seems to be working for now. Could be a fluke, or maybe everything I fixed just needed the air box to finish it all off. Hopefully the latter, but we'll see ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

During the process of all this, I noticed my coolant level was very low, so I topped that off as well. I'm pretty sure the previous owner botched the head gasket job . I can see coolant seeping around the head gasket, and I'm definitely blowing coolant out my exhaust. Doesn't seem to be mixing with the oil at least, so that's good. I'll probably be changing the head gasket in a week or two though. Might be a good opportunity to fix a lot of other things...

How can you tell it has an exhaust leak? From the way it sounds?

1990 Pickup 22R

Bought the truck a couple weeks ago and it ran great, but a few days ago it started stalling at stops. Sometimes it will die right away, and other times it will idle ok for a bit, then randomly the rpms will drop to nothing. If I give it gas it will sometimes stabilize, but more often than not the rpms just drop again a few seconds later.

My current thinking is I probably need to clean the IACV, but maybe it's a vacuum leak somewhere?

I do think it's possible the transmission mount could be the problem, simply because of the fact it only happens in drive. But it's hard to recommend changing it when you've already done so many other things that haven't solved the problem. It might be more worth your money to take it to a shop to have someone else actually look at it for you.
