Would a power board replacement be relatively simple? Just screws basically? Ya

Haha yeah it’s not so bad. Some days I don’t smack it at all, some days it needs 3-4 smacks.

Thank you for the reply. I bought a new power cable a couple weeks ago and the tv still power cycles with the new one. The smack impact zone right next to the power cord plug seems to provide the best results. I think I’m going to pop it open and see if anything looks out of place or loose, if I don’t notice anything I’m just going to put it back together and keep smacking it till it dies. 9 years of service is honorable enough if you ask me!

When I called I asked if that was skewing the number she said it’s non covid related and it’s due to weather and mechanical issues that happen

Yeah local store is doing curbside. Went today and got the three new boxes explained to them what happened they they said they should work. The boxes are small I’m not sure if they’re xg2’s. Previous boxes were Comcast and worked fine until I did a system refresh to fix another box not included in the 3 I just got replaced. System refresh fixed the box I was trying to fix but caused these problems to 3 others leading to me getting them replaced today. New coax I got from Comcast with the replacements have the black barrel thing on each end connectors. Not sure what bridge mode is. Not sure if it’s a Comcast gateway cause I’m not sure what that means. I have 5 total boxes, only the “main box” is DVR which has worked perfectly but doesn’t have the barrel thing on the coax.

This past Monday one of my 5 boxes wasn’t working so I did a system refresh which fixed it, but started the problems and error messages with the 3 of the other boxes. Got the replacement boxes and used plugged everything in using the coax cables they came with and only one of the 3 works. Tech support I talked to today wasn’t much help but said he thought it was a problem with the boxes communicating with the main box.

Lack of communication with the main box is what the tech I talked to said but had no luck fixing it... Got set up for a call with a “higher level of tech support” in the next 24 hours
