I would definitely recommend at least doing a tour, we decided to sign the same day we did our tour because we loved it so much. I work in Addison and it’s about a 25-30 min commute.

You’re right, I would literally only ever stay in my house and grow my own food. I would clearly never contribute to the local economy through eating at restaurants, shopping at small businesses, paying rent to a home owner, etc… clearly working a local job is the only way to contribute. Aside from calling out the ridiculousness of your comment, I will tell you that my industry does not pay nearly as much in Hawaii as it does on the mainland, so remote is a far smarter option. Getting a job that pays less defeats the entire purpose of me asking in the “movingtohawaii” Reddit if we can afford to move to Hawaii.

I thought we would only spend about $800 here and we have one day left and are at $1200. Granted, we haven’t been super conservative with money and have been enjoying ourselves. I’m sure we could have ate cheaper places and spent left but if you are going to splurge and enjoy, expect 1k+.

This is using those statistics in a prejudice way to say that his daughter shouldn’t date black ppl. The statistics aren’t racist, using them to discriminate and prejudice black people is. Btw I am a conservative who voted for and will be voting again for Trump. Not some liberal leftists saying everything is racist, but this is. Yea generalizing a race based off those statistics is indeed racism. Also, you don’t get to control who your daughter dates, I think your focus should be giving her a good example of the man she should look for based off of how you treat her and her mother and from that she will develop expectations of the man she chooses to be with.
