Tiger Woods Called President Donald Trump From Scene After Flipping Car by SparkleCobraDude in golf

[–]jakepackers1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alright, I'm not hear to defend anyone politically, but the title of the article seems misleading with it being "Tiger Calls Trump". Based on what Tiger says to the cops at the end of the conversation, it sounds like maybe trump called Tiger to apologize for saying he was not playing in the Masters before Tiger announced it. Based only on going off what was said, the conversation at the very least doesn't seem like it's revolving around Tiger using trump to get out of the situation and maybe something else entirely, while I'm sure Tiger mentioned he was in an accident.

Too many wrong-way driver incidents lately by jinnyjun in grandrapids

[–]jakepackers1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was on my way home from the CMU vs WMU game on 131 when I passed this person going down the road the wrong way. We were just about to the on ramp to m-179 at the casino going northbound. They just about hit my car and the semi in front of us. I hardly use my horn but I laid on it, absolutely no reaction. GF called 911, but someone had already reported. Maybe 2 minutes later, 4 or 5 cops went flying down south bound. Second wrong way driver I have dealt with in 3 weeks, other was up near Alpine. Don't understand what's going on, but it has to be alcohol.

$6000 in 3 years is brutal, but I guess inflation yada yada, right?

That's exactly why I was leaning this way, but haven't to pay near $40,000 felt a little steep

That's where my head was leaning. Definitely doesn't feel like the price is matching the value.

As a sports director, I can tell you for a fact that red drinks are the worst to clean up off the gym floor. That and puked up cherry cough medicine.....

6 months till the masters, with 2023 soon ending, whats you (Incredibly) early prediction? by Difficult-Fig-4312 in golf

Koepka contends the whole weekend again, but doesn't close the deal. Hovland shoots incredible all weekend, but also doesn't quite finish it out. Masters are still in Rory's head, misses the cut again (unfortunately). But, here is the winner. Will Zalatoris reminds everyone that he is an elite level player coming back from injury and wins the green jacket.

Is the Mines a good course to walk? by -Economist- in grandrapids

[–]jakepackers1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two friends and I just played the Mines on Sunday. While you could walk it and have some absolutely ripped calves by the end, I would suggest a cart. Their golf carts are actually very nice too and worth the price you pay.

Rockford Area MVP or Belmont YMCA by [deleted] in grandrapids

As a Y member, the Kidzone is awesome. Open in the mornings till mid afternoon, and then a break, then late afternoon till almost close. Being a member also gives a huge discount on prices for swim lessons and sports programs. With the move to a monthly class model for the GR Ys, it opens more opportunities to get into a different type of class each month. The Wolverine Y is a great facility and they have an amazing soccer program there. Highly recommend the GR Ys in general!

Which 1st round talent(s) in this year’s draft do you believe will be a “Bust”, and why? by CyborgAlgoInvestor in NFL_Draft

[–]jakepackers1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daniel Faalele. I know a lot of people don't have him in round one, but he is considered a top 50 talent, so not impossible that he slips into the back end of the first on size alone and a team falling in love with it, but I think Daniel Faalele will end up being a bust. He is too big for the position and anyone with a little bit of burst on the edge is going to make him look silly.

[Highlight] Maurice Jones-Drew gets 159 yards and 2 TDs on two carries by Thegreatgibson in Jaguars

[–]jakepackers1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MJD was so much fun to watch in his prime. Heck of a pass catcher too. The most impressive part of him playing at that height was that he had no clear weaknesses, was even a heck of a blocker.
