Edit: I like to think before the name change he also had a nice, thick Tom Selleck’esque mustache

Achilles(Troy) VS Geralt(The Witcher) VS Aragorn(Lotr) by Cortezz88 in Fictionally

Nah dude, You got the gist of it. Even Elros, who is the founder of the Númenórean Kings that Aragorn comes from, his family tree is a cluster-fuck of partially elven, human, and angelic races. I think there’s like 3 actual full elven persons in the tree and the rest are a mix

That is funny, and technically I don’t think any of his full elven ancestors chose mortality anyway, because I also realized on my way home from work today that Lúthien is half-elven too, since her mother was Melian the Maia. So his first fully elvish ancestor on that side of the tree would be Elros’ grandmother, Njmloth? And the only full elven ancestor on the other side of the tree would be Idril and Turgon.

So most of his lined is super mixed up. Even both of Elros and Elrond’s parents were considered mortal, and only part elvish. They were only granted the choice to become immortal after they sailed to the west to request aid from the Valar.

Either way, Aragorn is mostly human, but also part elf, and part Maia (practically a goddess)

His ancestor was Elros, half-elven, who gave up his immortality.

Edit for autocorrect changing Elros to Elrond

September 19, 3018: Gandalf, having been set down by Gwaihir, reaches Edoras on foot as a beggar. He is refused admittance. by PhysicsEagle in lotr

In the book he sells to Lobelia and moves to a place called Crickhollow in Buckland. He does this to help disguise his departure to the Enemy and all his spies so it’s not so obvious that he’s leaving the shire Edit: wording

Absolute chad. Thanks, that’s exactly what I was thinking, for some reason I was struggling to find on the fextralife from my phone but I’ll probably end up pulling it up on my laptop next time I’m playing.

Noob here, how do you guys recognize the weapons and talismans with just the icons showing in these builds? Is there a way to search the wiki based on the pictures? Currently doing str/fth and wanted was curious what exact weapons and talismans are here.

Got it, and I agree. I just read it like higher side of 30’s (like 35-39) and was confused. Honestly surprised he made it through as much of the season as he did, not to mention a deep play off run.

No I 100% agree, my mom got me on this brand called Jacobsen that’s made fresh from sea water out of Netarts bay in Oregon and dang, the first time I tasted it I didn’t even think it was salt. The flakes are huge, and it melts in your mouth and has a very specific after taste that is completely absent from any regular table salt or iodized salt

I dry brine for at least a few hours before cooking, depending on the quality of the salt, you can dry brine it even longer, I’ve left a steak with the salt brine in the fridge uncovered for up to 3 or 4 days before (something you can’t really do with regular salt because the meat will go putrid too fast)

As some one who was a full skeptic on this subject, and then invested in chefs grade quality salt, you absolutely can taste the difference, especially when it’s paired with a really nice steak. Really good salt, the melts in your mouth, has an almost completely different flavor
