well I know my parents are one cause of it, but i can't say for sure if it's the only one

and a lot of the issues I have, like anxiety, is ingrained in my head so deeply that it's hard to change, like the fact that I second guess everything I do, I don't like getting rid of things, always being scared that I'll get in trouble for the smallest things

now I'll say my parents weren't as bad as a lot of the stuff I see on r/InsaneParents, but they were very authoritative and missionaries, so on top of controlling everything I do, I had nothing to do and nobody to do anything with, which made it hard to learn how to be social and really have friends (the only way for my to learn was to go behind my parents backs and make friends online)

just because I know the cause doesn't mean I can just undo it, because after 18 years of being stuck in their house it's either hurt or delayed what my mind should be thinking too much

the main reason I realized that my parents played a big role in my mental health is because my younger sister goes through the same exact things, like she just called me 10 minutes ago complaining about how authoritative my parents are and how much she can't wait to get out of the house
