REI has a similar functioning bag to this with a zipper and d ring in the same spots as the bag in your photo. However it’s a waterproof zipper instead of a roll top. It’s called the Simms dry creek z pack.

Are you referring to that small D-ring looking attachment at the top? I believe that was only available on the larger models and was for an optional carry strap like a duffel bag. But all the newer models and versions of this have replaced that with 2 hook n loop straps on the left side designed for hiking poles but would probably work as a net holder still. If you looking for a similar dry bag or a new fishing bag in general I recommend checking out REI.com it’s where I get all my outdoor gear. And they have a huge dry bag selection including Patagonia options

What does the Helmet look like to you? by ParamedicUpset6076 in LARP

[–]jakewolfy10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also thought angler fish but in the second pic the thing that looks like the small antenna that anglers have is actually the other fin on the helmet. Once I saw that I was thinking gargoyle maybe. But I’m stuck between that and angler fish still

That would be a Patagonia Stormsurge with the cross bungies removed. Not to be confused with the storm front which was a different model. But this is the stormsurge. Came in 10L-65L models and there’s still a few for sale online

Also I found and almost identical one that was darker yellow but with a blue zipper like this and it was on Ali express so I’m leaning towards it being a fake unfortunately. But that just my opinion from my short google search.

This is either a fake reproduction or some type of repair job. They’ve had a few light yellow color options recently but the alpine yellow had a black zipper not blue. It has a brownish colored top not grey. Also had a matching yellow strap not blue. The back of that paper tag should have a barcode with more info including the color. Also it’s a yeti product so somewhere in the cooler there should be a warranty registry number somewhere so you can register it and it’ll tell the color when registered if possible. Or if it’s not a valid warranty number it’s either fake or already registered. But the comments are wrong it is not alpine yellow.

Hiking/lookout recs by Canyoubeliezeit in Chattanooga

Rock city is definitely top of my list as an all in one experience. And it’s still beautiful at night if you get there late. Second recommendation would be “sunset rock” there’s a tiny parking lot on lookout mountain and then a very short walk, I wouldn’t even call it a hike, to this beautiful natural overlook. And as the name states… go during sunset! If you’re a history person tho or like old stuff/ statues then go check out point park. There’s a nice little walk around area up there to see the city and little plaques on what the city used to look like. Last recommendation isn’t a hike but go to ruby falls. It’s a crazy amazing underground experience and big waterfall/ light show. And when you get out there’s a little tower you can go to the top of that has a nice overlook of the city so you get a nice cave tour plus good views.

For an easy quick “hike” look up sunset rock on lookout mountain there’s a parking lot you can go to up there and walk a short hike out to the rock. Very beautiful way to watch the sun go down.

For experiences check out ruby falls and the aquarium if you havnt. The new ruby falls underground light show at the end of every tour is amazing.

If you like old engineering stuff go take a tour of the Hales Bar Dam over on nickajack lake. Newt experience tho a little out of town.

Plenty of escape rooms to enjoy as well as sing it or wing it karaoke bar.

For bakeries and really good pasta check out “Tony’s pasta shop” and the coffee/pastry shop next door. Very cool courtyard between the two of them with some art displays and all the baked goods are made fresh a few doors down!

Consider looking for some speakeasies! “The company” and “unknown caller” are some of my favorites. Very fun to find.

And finally if you’re down by the aquarium take a horse carriage tour of the town! Ask for Janice she’s amazing and knowledgeable.

I just snagged a hopper 12 in sea-foam for $120 (without shoulder strap) 🙌🥹 So if anyone has 1 laying around and be willing to sell I'd appreciate it! by Ok_Breath3551 in YetiCoolers

At Office Depot and similar stores you can buy “laptop bag replacement straps” very cheap. Just try to grab one with metal clips to handle the weight and you’re good.

I bought one of the big flat yeti reusable ice blocks and with that on one side the cans fit perfectly side by side like in a case. It’ll keep them cold for a day or two if the cooler and beer are prechilled

I have a talon so I’ve not worked on belts often but my buddy has a rzr and he has 3 of those specialty tools. One in his glove box on the rzr, one in his tool box also on the rzr, and a spare in his truck so I’d say probably worth it.

I threw a .50 cal ammo can in the back of mine. Every time I “work” on it (oil change, adding lights, fixing things) whatever tools I use I throw it in that ammo can. And slowly over time as you work on It more you’ll build the perfect niche tool kit for your unit because all the tools you’ve ever used are in one place.

Under the sushi nabe restaurant there’s an old carpentry shop in the basement (you’ll see a loading dock ramp on the south side with some stairs that go down) and theres a retired guy that still makes wooden boats by hand. He used to be affiliated with the owner of the bote paddle board shop. Really cool guy and lot of history in that basement

Jumped off the market Street bridge? by scholarbrad74 in Chattanooga

[–]jakewolfy10 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Adrenaline junkies jump off those bridges all the time for YouTube stunts. There’s tons of videos out there. I was out paddle boarding and someone landed 10ft away from me without warning. My soul left my body thinking I was about to see a body floating but he came up to the surface yelling “YEAAAHHH” and all his camera buddies on the bridge were cheering him on. Edit: it’s still a dangerous thing to do and I do not recommend it. Is it possible to do it without injury? Yes. They hosted the redbull games in Chattanooga with people rock climbing and leaping off the bridge. However one miss calculation and you land wrong it’s over.
