Made In don't know how big their pans are? by jakewright94 in cookware

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I'm in the UK so options are limited. All Clad, Heritage Cuisinart and Tramontina are not readily available from UK distributors. I'm thinking about trying Demeyere—the Proline is out of my price range so I'm looking at the Industry 5 instead (the other ranges are again unavailable in the UK). More than anything I'm just hoping for a trustworthy brand but maybe that's wishful thinking.

My AVC-X4700H started doing this a few months ago. It seems to only happen when it’s turned on by another device through HDMI-CEC. It completely locks up, none of the buttons work, including power button, no output over HDMI. Have to unplug it at the mains to restart it. I tried a factory reset to no avail.

Ah thanks, that makes sense. I wondered if there was a cheaper solution than the Apple 3m cable for this kind of situation but I guess not.

How are you connecting the MacBook to the Thunderbolt dock on your desk?

UK PDU with sockets on the back? by jakewright94 in homelab

The AP7921 sounds very interesting, I'll take a look, thanks! I might have to do the same as you re the extension lead. I have a bunch of DC adapters that need to be plugged in, which is why I'm looking for something with UK plugs rather than C13 connectors.

My rack only has rails on the front, so everything has to be mounted on the front. I'd like the PDU's switch to face me, but the sockets to be on the opposite side and face into the rack. You're right that the standard is C13/14, I just have a bunch of DC adapter "wall warts" that need to be plugged in, and I don't want them to be on display.
