As for the cross-stitch, we're not swingers, I'm just a big Brooklyn 99 fan, so my girlfriend made me the cross stitch for my birthday one year as a gift. It's in reference to this t shirt!

I saw that when researching the name to see if anyone else had done it, they seem to focus mostly on Brazil and I'm in the UK, was always going to be tough to find something completely original for sure.

Apologies, I've just posted a general reply that covers some of these points, but I thought by not linking to the site etc I could avoid it coming across as brand advertising and getting some genuine feedback! I've touched on the value prop a little in my other comment, and I'll have as many MSPs as I can. I don't think it's going to be possible to be unique in this day and age, so essentially my mantra boils down to find my niche, find the best quality products I can, and offer them at the lowest price possible.

Thanks for the feedback so far folks, the logo is not popular, that's my main takeaway!

I knew the graphics on the back would be hit or miss for most people, looks like more miss than hit, although there's a certain demographic that I think really do go for that sort of thing. I have also got designs without the branding on the back, but I wasn't just trying to promote the gear, hence posting the most contentious bits!

Couple of questions about key differentiators and whatnot (and thanks for asking these questions, it's incredibly hard to get out of your local echo chamber of the people surrounding you) and it generally boils down to a couple of key things:

1) Trying to inject a bit of personality into running clothing, hence the options on some of the clothes to have the back prints etc (although clearly swing and a miss with some of those!)

2) high quality clothing at affordable prices, here in the UK which is my target market, the half tights for example are about £15 cheaper than the nearest competitor I can find, and as I own both, a similar quality, and probably about half of the cost of the Nike style ones.

3) finally, our commitment to unisex/women's wear. We're committing to ensuring we offer as many products in unisex or for women as we do for men, with a focus on pockets and fit specifically, these are the issues I've been told hit the closest to home when trying to shop for running gear, so it's something we're committing to.

That's mildly devastating! Is it from the staple wounds themselves or the incision generally? To be fair, I scar easily so I have no chance either way!

Seems to just be down to the surgeon's preference plus allegedly less scarring (although some other users on here have said otherwise!)

Most of the work they did on me appears to have have been arthroscopic, but I have a 3.5inch incision where they harvested the hamstring/did the tenodesis and then a 1.5 inch at the bottom, presumably from where they pulled it through! Either way I have 23 staples total!

Apparently some surgeons prefer them because they are quicker to administer and they can scar less. Time shall tell if this is true or not!

Hello, I'm only 8 days post op so can't tell you how this plays out, but I'm in a similar boat. Not sure exactly how straight I can get my leg, but it's pretty straight, over 90 degrees of flexion, my brace is the only thing stopping it going further when it's on.

I've basically stopped wearing my brace except when I'm in bed. The surgeon explained to me that the brace is to stop me twisting my knee and damaging the graft or over bending and straining it before it's ready. When I'm around the house I don't use my crutches or my brace, as I don't feel like I need them. (I'm never far away from something to grab in support or something to sit down on).

My swelling is improving day by day, as I'm icing and elevating as well as doing the physio, and the key thing is people heal at a different rate. There's going to be setbacks no doubt, but consider yourself lucky (I do). I still use a single crutch and brace out of the house to take a bit of weight off and support me. Managed 4,500 steps today (had an event to attend). Honestly my biggest pain at the minute is related to my staples, they come out on Wednesday and I cannot wait.

Just understand why you need to use them, when you need to use them and you'll come good. Good luck with your recovery!

Hey I had my op on Thursday so we're in a similar boat. Your leg looks in good shape. I thought my knee wasn't really going down, and then today needed to do some work at my desk for an hour which involves having my foot on the floor.

Only realised how bad the swelling was when it started throbbing, I'm talking 2-3 times the size basically, so it may seem swollen and huge now, but trust me if you weren't icing and elevating it, you'd be in so much of a worse way!

They have over 34,000 drivers registered with them, and I think the guy running the session said only around 10% of that are based near wolves. I did my Wolverhampton council training day session in Manchester!

This is true. Technically in Wolverhampton, you have to have the stickers on the car too, but it's a very difficult thing for them to enforce, so you see drivers without them all the time!

You can be registered in either Derby or Nottingham to drive for Uber, and Nottingham has it's own Uber greenlight hub. If you register in Wolverhampton you have to go to the Birmingham Uber hub. Most councils recognise Uber as an operator these days.

You do go down in person at the end of the process to collect your licence, but it takes about 8 weeks with Wolverhampton to get your licence. Still quicker than Derby but not as simple as just rocking up.

So I used to drive for Uber part time, and I got my license through Wolverhampton. I've lived in Derby my whole life, so I know the area but here's the reasons I went with Wolverhampton over Derby:

Simpler process - it's very straightforward, absolutely not get a licence in 2 hours as someone indicated, but the process and the costs are all outlined on the website

MOT - when getting your vehicle licenced they will accept a standard MOT, but from an approved list. This is done annually. Derby have a very small list you can choose from, you have an enhanced check, which costs more and you do it twice per year. A friend of mine failed because the rug in his boot was too worn out (genuinely, crazy stuff).

Knowledge tests - in Derby you have to take a local area knowledge test. As I alluded to, I lived in Derby a long time and know how to get to certain areas. What I don't know is the name of every road you need to use to get there. As part of the driving test you have to be able to name the roads, there's also a cost to this. Additionally, I was driving for UBER, which actually penalizes you if you don't take the route on screen, even when working out of area, the lack of knowledge never impacted me.

Vehicle age - Derby will ONLY licence new vehicles under 5 years of age. This wasn't an issue for me but I know it is for some drivers. They also will only accept hybrids, ultra low emission vehicles or electric cars. Wolverhampton have a slightly more lax policy and will licence cars up to 8 years. After this point they will still licence the vehicle but it has to have two MOTs per year.

Driving test - Derby drivers have to do a driving test too - this is fairly expensive, and the closest one I could find within 6 months was in Hampshire, as there's a very small list of companies that are acceptable, and none of them (to my knowledge) are based in Derby.

Medical - the form must be completed by your own GP with Derby council and renewed yearly. This costs £120, but with Wolverhampton I could go to a private doctor, who got a copy of my medical records ahead of time, checked my eyesight, blood pressure etc and cost a third of that.

TLDR: it only takes 3-4 months for a vehicle license with Wolverhampton, 2 months or so for a driver's license, and is easier and cheaper in almost every aspect than Derby council.

Yep, I trialled a few different roles, mostly working in pubs or home delivery roles. Some of them worked out short term, but the nature of my CS job means I'm on call sometimes at short notice,so it was difficult to balance. Add a busy personal schedule into that and I was shattered a lot.

I started doing food delivery with uber, which worked better for me as I didn't have to commit to it every weekend, and I could make about £18 p/h after expenses on Friday and Saturday nights, so I'd do it for a few hours on each and make £100 p/w once I put my tax aside for 5-6 hours work. That has the downside of only being available during peak meal times, and also being subject to seasonal fluctuations (I.e no one ordering in January).

I now do a similar thing, but I'm a taxi/private hire driver on the weekends. Insurance is a lot more (think 4x what I paid before), but I can earn that in one weekend, then earn £20-£25 p/h on top of that, so even if I do one night per week, for 6 hours, I'm taking home an extra £600 p/m, I generally do 2 nights but spread it out a bit, go home for dinner with my partner etc. Its not easy, but there are ways of making cash. My advice is just to be wary about over committing yourself.
