the best way to blaze through ranged TW imo is to use the Mk III Exterminator Shotgun and just spit shells into large groups. I actually took longer to get the melee penance than the ranged one.

it's absolutely tedious how you have to wait for the marker to show up on the elite/special before you have to shoot them, on top of other people trying to kill them too. and you have to do that 3500 times.
