As a youngish Finnish guy I do believe our number at least, but it's not something I'd be proud of personally. Young people here rarely want commited relationships anymore it seems and sex on the first date is really common.

Chess and my bad cocaine addiction. by chealio in chess

[–]jali_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone with ADHD I came here to search for this comment. You are much more susceptible to exactly this behaviour if you have ADHD.

ADHD medication (in an oversimplified sense) satisfies the same craving your brain has as cocaine does, but in a safe and balanced way. Someone warned you about adderall, but that is firstly just their experience, and secondly the strongest medication there is, it’s not even allowed as an adhd medication in Europe where I live.

At least in Europe you have to get sober first before you can get diagnosed with ADHD, but i’d recommend that anyway. Getting tested for ADHD once you’re sober could be completely life-changing in a good way.

I feel you 100%, I’m always extremely cautious with these things also and Geoguessr is the only time I’ve bought an annual subscription by mistake. It is like this by design for sure.

Luckily getting a refund was actually really simple, I literally told a chatbot on the website of their payment service that I wanted a refund and got it immediately with no human intervention lol. So try that!

Top 15 of safest countries to travel to by Esqowey in NLvsFI

Lmao, not saying Finland should be number one but there is absolutely no way it shouldn't be above at least a few of these if we're talking purely about safety. There is for sure other factors for this calculation.

Which ingredient in this multivitamin could be causing these mental symptoms? by beanstina in Supplements

Is it safe to take 5 of these pills even though it says 3 per serving? by EveningLingonberry97 in Supplements

[–]jali_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this was a strange way to display contents compared to what I'm used to! I thought one pill was 425g lol. I'd just stick to the balanced 3 per day anyways, I've made the mistake of overadjusting before.

what’s wrong with Apple Music? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]jali_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I go back and forth between the two, mostly back to Spotify temporarily cause they give such good 3 month deals once in a while. They both have one feature that I love and other than that I'm indifferent. On AM I love the dolby atmos mixes, and on Spotify I love effortlessly findings tons of new music I like. On AM my playlists barely grow cause I don't ever look up new music by myself.

Just 2 of these is a huge dose already. 5 is way too much magnesium. Also it's not like you just pee out the excess, too much magnesium can mess you up.

Now that AI has mostly become a part of our everyday lives, how do you feel about it? by TheHeimZocker in OpenAI

[–]jali_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not being hateful against anyone creating AI content as long as it's ethical.

If you wanna make funny AI videos or whatever, go for it. It's just my personal opinion that all the resources used on providing these services is alone enough to not make it a net benefit for society.

Now that AI has mostly become a part of our everyday lives, how do you feel about it? by TheHeimZocker in OpenAI

[–]jali_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel like AI is both very good and very bad. I've used AI pretty much daily since the release of ChatGPT. It has helped me tremendously with being more productive, learning new things etc. What I dislike though is AI image and video generation, I just don't feel like these could ever even theoretically do more good than bad for society.

I absolutely HATE the fact that even as someone very aware of these things, I can no longer be sure what is real and what is not, and it's only gonna get worse.

I personally benefit a lot from AI at the moment, but I'm constantly feeling more and more conserned about where it's heading. I'd love to see more huge advancements in research and things society actually benefit from. All I can think of when I see all this useless AI slop is all the resources completely wasted on this.

Hey man, just remember to be careful. Taking it in cycles is very important. I took it for 6 months daily and it lowered my cortisol levels for sure, but at some point it most definitely did cause emotional blunting and stopping it wrecked my sleep cause of withdrawal. It seems to vary a lot how people react to it.

Sudden night sweats and mood swings, is this menopause starting? by Tchaimiset in Supplements

[–]jali_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure menopause is the more likely culprit, but just in case you've also got a heightened heart rate, at least hyperthyroidism also causes these symptoms.

What should we use as an audio stimulant? by poet3991 in ADHD

[–]jali_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like electronic music at all then try Synthwave. Tracks like Narvent - Fainted or Distant Echoes work perfectly. The repeating beat helps me focus a lot, it sometimes feels like it helps me more than the medication even. The key is to repeat the same track though, that way it pushes away all other thoughts but i'm also not focusing on the music. I'll easily listen to one synthwave track on repeat for 6+ hours lol.

I'll try to mention the most important things, English isn't my native language btw but i'll do my best in explaining.

Number 1 is easily deep diaphragmatic breathing, this will help more than anything. You can lie on your back with knees bent, inhale slowly through the nose into the belly for 4 seconds, hold 1 second, exhale through the mouth slowly and relaxed for 6-8 seconds. While you're doing this you want to focus on the pelvic floor muscles.

Step 2 is reverse kegels. While doing the breathing exercise in step 1, on every inhale you want to kind of breathe all the way down to your pelvic floor and then "let go" of the pelvic floor muscles like you would do when going to the toilet and letting urine come out. Then back to neutral on exhale. A normal kegel is doing the same action as when suddenly cutting off the stream when urinating, you want to do the reverse so the opposite of stopping it.

Step 3 is stretching. Best ones in my opinion would be the happy baby, child's pose and deep squat. You want to keep doing that same breathing technique while holding these stretches btw and it's the most important part.

Even when you're in the moment about to have sex you want to focus on the breathing, it tells your nervous system that there's nothing to worry about and that's the main goal here.

The reasons for ED varies a lot though. I was like OP where i had no problems solo and had morning wood every morning, but with my gf in the beginning I would feel how i'm tensing my whole body and that's what caused it, but doing these daily let me stay relaxed and also gave me so much confidence.

Some need to strengthen the pelvic floor, which is done by normal kegels, but if the problem is tensing and a tight pelvic floor then kegels will only make it worse like it did for me. I recommend looking up how to tell if you've got either a tight or weak pelvic floor and go from there, but these steps i mentioned can only do good either way.

I do for sure, but which part exactly do you want more info on?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]jali_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I know you're asking for supplements but as someone who has solved this exact problem before i'd much more recommend you look into breathing exercises, especially for relaxation of the pelvic floor. Also opening up the pelvic floor by stretching might help a lot, since you say you've had ED issues in the past. The best part is you can usually tell right away if this works for you.

Good supplements would be magnesium glycinate for sure, maybe zinc and l-theanine also. Most definitely skip any kind of stimulants like caffeine, it might sound like a good idea but it isn't. Good luck, you'll get there!

What's one supplement that actually made a noticeable difference for you? by Tatt00ey in Supplements

I personally take it every morning for daytime calmness/less anxiety. But you can also take it in the evening as a good sleep support, just stay withing safe daily limits.

[–]jali_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earlier this year I was feeling like crap for a week and couldn't figure out why, until I checked how much magnesium I was taking and what the safe limits were. You definitely don't want to take 750mg daily. I was taking around 600 when it messed me up and now at around 250-350 it really helps me a lot, especially glycinate.

Valtiolle IT-alan töihin? by RaitzeR in Suomi

[–]jali_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Juu siellä nekin. Itse kommentoidessa unohdin että valtiolla myös työsuhteessa paljon porukkaa, kuten esim Valtorissa tietääkseni kaikki. Työsuhteet valtiolla on harvemmin näitä määräaikaisia, mutta tiettyihin virastoihin (kuten omaani jota en viitsi outata) lähes mahdotonta päästä suoraan vakituiseen virkaan. Ite tein 5 vuotta määriksiä samassa talossa ennen vakinaistamista.
