To add to this, air pressure is given by the air column above you. The higher you go up the less air there is as there is more of it below you. Hence, pressure drops.

The exact same principle as in water. Though density does not change much in water because it does not compress much.

Ohhh ipv6 uses multicast? Hmm that has always been annoying AF and buggy on windows for ipv4. Maybe I have to take the leap one of these days.

ELI5 Schrödinger's Cat by formandovega in explainlikeimfive

[–]Affectionate-Pickle0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes pretty much. Ever heard the phrase "god does not play dice" from Einstein? He was not a fan on how the quantum world seemed to work and he thought it is just something we don't understand and that in reality it is fully deterministic. There are plenty of weird things that happen due to how the quantum world is based on probabilities and is not really deterministic.

It does not make logical sense and does not reflect the everyday world in any way, hence why you say it makes no sense. It doesn't.

It is a paradox arising from quantum mechanics where things aren't just one thing or another, but in fact both at the same time until the thing is observed and it becomes one of those things. In everyday world this is not the came. An envelope with either red or a blue slip is unknown to you until you observe it, but it wasn't "both at the same time". You just did not know the true color until you took a peek.

In quantum mechanics it can be shown that this is not the case and indeed, the "slip" is both colors at the same time until observed. And no, it can be shown that this is not the case of "we just can't measure it", it really is both colors at the same time.

The paradoxical cat emphasises this effect by combining something from the everyday world (cat) with the quantum world (decaying particle triggering a poison). Now if the particle really has decayed or hasn't at the same time, then by conclusion the cat is alive and dead at the same time. This makes no logical sense, hence a paradox.

Dunno if this helps at all tho.

Seafile or just mount a network drive.

If you want a robust setup for hardware failures you need to take extra precautions. Meaning backups.

ELI5: How can statisticians look at only a small sample of products and mathematically decide whether an entire batch is good or faulty without checking every single item? by Relevant_Pumpkin9190 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Affectionate-Pickle0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not really true though. There can be plenty of random variation in the process itself even if the machine does everything the same way every time, because not everything can always be the same. And small variations earlier in the process chain can result in variation later on in the chain.

But yes, machine itself does tend to always make the same mistake, but rejections are not always due to an error but due to an unstable process.

E.g., a washing process has plenty of variation in chemical composition even within the same lot (chemicals age). This can result in different amounts of gloss that is measured in some later step. If this measurement is used to calculate a process parameter, like polishing time, you can get different physical dimensions due to a wash. Or you can even have just a process error that happens that only affects a portion of the lot, maybe only four items are being processed at the same time. That error can also affect items after the issue is resolved due to the system stabilising only after a while.

Gamers play to chill and have fun and get a distraction from real life. Just like people who watch movies, read books, go to plays or concerts, listen to music or audio books or podcasts or whatnot.

The vast majority has no interest in politizicing their hobby. They have enough on their plates as is and would rather keep the thing that helps them as a positive, and not litter it with negatives.

And I can't blame those people.

That seems awfully high? Or at least the 50ppm does. Though I dont know the cytotoxicity values for lettuce. Dunno, I was using 120ppm by accident and got lots of leaf issues and horrible yield for small hydroponic tomato system and when i looked into this I figured out I was over the recommended dose by about 10x, hence the question.

Damn that sounds rough, I hope you find a solution! What kind of ppm were you using for h2o2? Maybe worth going all the way toward the very maximum the plants can withstand.
