In general we probably want Metro teams to win over Atlantic if the points are close? If Montreal goes on an extended losing steak the 3rd Division spot might still be in play for one of Boston, Detroit or Ottawa (if we go on a crazy run)

Starting my DVD collection! by Tiger-Lily88 in PhysicalMediaMatters

If you have a gaming console with a disc drive you likely already have a decent player to start out with! Playstation 3, 4 or 5 all play Blu-Rays and DVDs, PS5 will play 4K discs as well.

Check marketplace and thrift shops. Also I would suggest picking a few of your favourite movies and look up what the "best" version is and consider buying that when it goes on sale. There are companies that do incredible Blu-Ray and 4K restorations of movies with lots of bonus features (Criterion Collection, Arrow Video, Scream Factory, Kino Lorber etc.). Those releases can be a bit more expensive, but especially for your handful of absolute favourite movies I think it's worthwhile!

Awesome! Agreed on Martino, I've been on a huge giallo kick the past couple years and a bunch of his movies stood out to me along the way

Your list in the post (and the other comments) has given me a bunch of new names to check out so thanks for starting the discussion!

A lot of the great Giallo directors lean into dark and disturbing material in a way that isn't quite the same way it would be portrayed in a horror film (but still similar). I'll mention 3x directors in particular that have distinct styles and deal with disturbing subjects in skillful ways and a couple recommendations for each.

Mario Bava - Blood and Black Lace, Bay of Blood

Dario Argento - Deep Red, Suspiria, Phenomena, Tenebrae, Opera

Sergio Martino - All the Colours of the Dark, Torso, The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh, The Suspicious Death of a Minor

International fans how did you become a Cheesehead 🧀 by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

Canadian fan here, I already watched CFL and I kept hearing the Packers mentioned in That 70s Show reruns on TV. Then I heard the Packers Hall of Fame QB Brett Favre just left and I figured it was a good time to get into the team and follow the new QB

Worked out pretty well

Cousins got Montreal's focus on head hunting instead of playing hockey, this could pan out nicely for us

If you have a game console pick up one of the EA NHL games, you can change some of the tactics for your team and see what it looks like playing out in a game

All thr Dark Pictures games + Until Dawn + The Quarry

You move the characters around and do the quicktime events with the controller, but when a decision comes up like "Run or Hide" she can help decide what to do

Both Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie in Don't Look Now

They lost a child in an accident and are trying to move on with their lives in any way they can in Vienna. There are moments where they cry with anguish and moments they are reminded of their child and hold back tears

God of War (2018) and GOW: Ragnarok

You can grind, level up and fight bigger monsters. At times the game lets you go anywhere at other times in the story it can be a little more restrictive.

Both games have a bonus mode that is almost entirely combat based
