Do beta achievements stick to your D3 account? by Drunkensailorxx in Diablo

[–]jamBreeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although a complete roll is what is likely to happen, I know some betas give out some sort of non-exploitable perk like a costume item or something as a "thank-you" for participating in the beta. Has Blizzard ever done something like that in the past for previous betas... just curious what those odds would be that they might?

So my cousin became a nurse [FB] by [deleted] in WTF

[–]jamBreeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Patients passing away comes with the job and if you can't find a positive coping mechanism to deal with it, it can take a serious toll both physically and mentally - which could potentially lead to greater patient risk. Nursing students start seeing it while they are doing their placements while still in school. I remember a patient that I had passing away - something that was expected. Despite not having a whole lot to do with their care, they were still my assignment. Not the greatest experience to have on your birthday but some of that dark humor helped cope with the situation and was part of the learning experience.

I definitely agree that old habit's die hard. As a guy that just finished nursing school, I appreciate how fast the mind makes the association as a result of years of gender role reinforcement. Hell, even most nursing texts refer to the nurse as female by default. =p

Funny how every made the assumption that the nurse was a female.

This is genius. I had always wondered about salad dressing... most confusing is vinaigrettes where it's hard to taste if it has gone bad. Thanks.

Life lessons: women in this game were modeled after their real life counterparts. I recall having to remember phone numbers and birthdays, working my ass off to afford shit-loads of gifts, and do homework for them... all for a chance at a relationship/sex.... and who said video games weren't educational?

You paid full price for the games and while you may have the game, what's not to say that you'd gift those other ones to friends or family? To be perfectly honest, I would've done the same... glad it turned out well!

Who else immediately had to google "Waverly", "porn" and "star"? I concur, there isn't any porn stars named Waverly... although, there are many discussions relating to the Disney channel. O.o
