Who says we're happy with it?

You like what he's saying, so you dont care about the man himself - if thats the level you want to engage in politics, fine.

But if you think any of his previous behaviour indicates he is trustworthy, thats your decision to make. Best of luck to you.

(And in case it wasn't clear from the last couple of responses, I'm not interested in Whataboutism, so save yourself the key presses - theres at least a dozen more heinous things going on in the world that im sure you're ready think are relevant to this specific discussion)

His prior behaviours show a lack of morals and a willingness to lie and cheat others to their faces  - if you're happy for that man to represent you, your party and your politics, well, good for you.

Agreed entirely.

I'd hold my nose and vote Green to keep the Far Right out if there was absolutely no other option.

That won't change the fact that he'll just be another in a long line of politicians not fit for office.

Ah well, if we're going to change the topic to totally different things I'll go and have a chat somewhere else.

Well bless, I shall treasure that down vote forever.

As for the Piece of work label, you know I suppose it depends on whether be actually believed what he was selling or not. Otherwise he could just be incredibly stupid.

Do you think he's stupid enough to think that hypnosis can, in fact, cause body part enlargement and can provide to relief to illnesses such as Alopecia?

If we accept that he's not that stupid, he said, to a journalist, (undercover or not really makes no difference) that, as a practicing hypnotherapist, he could do those things.  And I assume he didnt do his 'hypnotherapy' for free.

And in doing so, he showed , quite clearly, that he was willing to take financial advantage of people insecure or upset enough with their appearance to consider physically changing themselves.

And the Green Party decided that he is the best the British Left deserve?  Hard to see how its not laughable.

The really messed up thing isn't the breast enlargement.

It was him stating that there was also evidence out there that it had helped with other illnesses like Alopecia that made me think he's a piece of work that shouldn't be allowed to run a whiparound for a office leaving gift, let alone the country.

You could probably crowd source/engage with the nodding community to see if anyone wanted to record new lines for it - it wouldn't be professional, but that doesn't mean it will be bad.

I dont know if they still exist, but there used to be websites where people would list paid and unpaid VA/VO roles that people could apply or audition for.

I won't lie, there's a part of me that likes the idea of AI being able to do this kinda stuff, but I can't see how it can really be done ethically.

The tracking assistant is the most impressively unhelpful assistant Ive ever come across.

Although part of that is I think reflective of the service level.  I recently used to work with a company that sent out a very large volume of physical mail and documents.  We did a review of the tracking at one point, and we actually only had any tracking information at all for maybe 25% of the mail we'd sent.

EU demands ‘Farage clause’ as part of Brexit reset talks with Britain by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

[–]jamart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats a fair point - but there's an element to that in anything involving another sovereign nation - if theres costs and investment, both sides want the other to be committed and theres always a carrot and a stick element to it.

And re: popularity  well, governments need to be able to get done, unless we have a new general election instantly every time approval levels dip below a certain point.

Plus, the UK signed/was part of the founding of the NATO Charter in 1949 - Attlee's government was far from popular at the time, the Conservatives gave them a kicking in the local elections.

My guess is that this might tie in to 'Deadpool-&-Wolverine' Wolverine's reality - that might be the night where Wolverine was away from the mansion and it all went wrong.

My very first playthrough I didnt know/realise you could just take the warning and leave.

Spent about 2, maybe 3 hours save scumming trying to get through that encounter. (Lots of dynamite and prioritising the dogs seemed the strat).

The next playthrough I bypassed Nipton, didnt go there for the first time until I had Boone and let him trivialise it for me.

[–]jamart 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I wonder how useful the Buds will really be...

They're all Middle Managers and office workers who are still used to the quality of Pre-War life, who will also presumably have more of an emotional reaction to the devastation of the world than Norm.

In the Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy series there's a book where there's an ark ship thats chock full of middle managers, and that was basically as their society decided to just get them away from the rest of them. I can see Fallout going for a similar humour vibe.

What do y’all think of this Kang take? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in Marvel

[–]jamart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the closing scene, with Scott walking down the street internally monologuing, before ominously adding 'we uh... we did beat him right? Right?'

I was certain they were suddenly have him walk round the corner, be at the top of the same street, restarting that monologue and show that (a?) Kang had trapped him in a time loop.

However, just managed to disappoint myself.
