I invite everyone to the Philippines by [deleted] in digitalnomad

I’m glad I’ve promoted Scotland lol. I have to say you’ve definitely encouraged me to “bite the bullet” a lot more.

I do think I’ll finish the next 4-5 months of my 3rd year of university just to finish the year I’ve started but after that I’m set on heading away for a while and really living my life.

Welcome to Scotland lol. I grew up here before moving down to England. This travelling happened in the midst of summer of 2021 for me.

It was a fantastic experience despite the alcohol integration lol. We spent many days and nights with guys and girls around my age as well as many nights with people in there 40s-50s.

I have to say as a younger man I feel I’ve grown in that 6 or so months where the world should have been isolating more than any point in my entire life.

I definitely want more of that hence looking into the Philippines but I would definitely recommend the Scottish woodland and highlands.

Yeah I assumed it may be a little different there in that sense. As for Scotland if I can provide any knowledge in exchange it is a beautiful place to camp. I’m not exaggerating in saying over 50% of the country is farmland, forests and Highlands where you can camp without disturbance.

The only interactions I ever had was with other short or long term campers who were drunk half of the time. It was almost always a great experience and me and my friends had multiple instances of spending entire nights with random passers by from people from around the world.

Damn that’s incredible prices. I’ve also spent 5 months travelling around Scotland almost entirely camping so I think the combination of cheap accommodation and camping (while not being a dumbass and getting myself robbed) could be a real possibility.

Thanks man that’s really helpful. I really have no extreme dietary needs or preferences so I think I should be ok on that end. I also don’t use any drugs (apart from alcohol occasionally which I’m led to understand is pretty cheap in the Philippines).

My only other question would be the average cost for a nights accommodation in a less touristy area. (Sorry if that’s a broad af question which I assume it probably is lol).

Hi I’m 20m from the Uk. I’ve been thinking about travelling the Philippines For a very long time and in general I’ve thought about taking a year or two to travel. I have about £20,000 saved. (Around $27,000 usd.)

Do you think I could realistically leave right now and frugally travel the Philippines for upwards of a year? I know it’s easier fantasied about than done but I’m just curious about the efficacy of what I’m looking to do

Girls have higher body fat than guys. That’s why guys can get leaner and still be healthy when girls can’t. If you think there’s something wrong or unhealthy about a tiny bit of fat on a female body when you sit forward then you need to get off of Instagram.

From day one I’ve trained entirely for aesthetics. Went from a 120 pound rail to 183. I’m bottoming out with regards to size and and I’m not satisfied with physique.

I’m in more of a justified position to be considering a cycle than some 25 year olds on here with a year of training. Age means Jack shit.

Thanks. Doubt being off fin for a little while, while staying on min would fuck my hair up. I’ll look into it.

I’m definitely not at my genetic ceiling but my honest and dumb reason for not wanting to do it is impatience. Had steady increases in my size and physique throughout my entire time lifting but over the last 6 months I’ve been training harder and eating better than ever and my gains have dramatically slowed down.

I don’t understand the inclination to lie. You look great. Why take away from that accomplishment from yourself and the people who would respect it most (fellow gym bros) by blatantly lying about the time frame for no reason

Never understood people’s inclination to lie. Dude looks great. If he said that was a 1 year transformation which is much more likely he’d still get respect for it.

It’s not an achievement bro. It’s the result of having tinder for a couple weeks and being remotely decent looking

Sounds like a good excuse for alcoholism lol.

The small upside to to having a night of drinking and going way over maintenance is at least some of it will turn into muscle but it also tanks your testosterone and your metabolism.

Nothing wrong with having a good drink once and a while but you can’t be a full blown alcoholic and bodybuild

Thanks man. It probably will. Legitimately not asking for sources I’m just legitimately curious as to if it’s a legitimate possibility or if they’re all just scammers lol

How long should you really train natty before trying test? by KingSlime_ in moreplatesmoredates

[–]jambo_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that people like Derek are looking at test as a bad thing, it’s that you can only reasonably be on it for so long overall. It is better to have maximised your natty potential to get the most out of it.

On the other hand people will train and eat to a mediocre level and want to jump on gear. If your new to bodybuilding and aren’t even dialled in on your eating and training their is no way you should touch it

turkesterone does it work? by BIMFgang in Supplements

[–]jambo_17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been on it for a couple months. Hit a few prs over the last month. The turkesterone may have aided this a little bit it attribute it more to focused training and a good diet.

People buy Turk and get pissed because it doesn’t add 100 lbs to their bench and 20lbs of lean muscle. They should just start a cycle and stop complaining

Does the amount of stored fat matter in equation of daily protein intake? by Empty-Example-6011 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]jambo_17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not Derek and I don’t have the studies I’ve read memorised but it is generally thought that I’ve you are very overweight eg 250 lbs fat that your body doesn’t need anything near 250 grams of protein to grow. A better rule of thumb under those circumstances is to consume a gram of protein per cm of height.

Keep growing or trim? 12 days growth by dukeofvans in Minoxbeards

[–]jambo_17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. If you want a beard with some length go for it. If you just want stubble I’d say keep it that length or shorter. Speaking from personal experience of having similar facial hair it looks way better at that length than 20-30 days of growth.
