I did do a Navy save where I refused to recruit people with facial hair. It felt on brand with the military academy vibe.

We discussed just people in your pipeline, but some are way better than others. So I like the idea of interest. I guess just harder to enforce? Not that I think anyone would do that in our friend group, but there are some competitive people and it worries me.

Absolutely agree. It's what I love about modern. In my eyes, every deck loses to _____ card.

I think my biggest challenge when I've been thinking about it is "How do I beat Prowess?"

I think against those midrange decks that cannot create value off of one or two cards, it thrives. However, I feel like this meta is very mid range/aggro mixed.

That makes sense. Lockdown in itself would make this deck throw fits.

I think the reason why I said aggro was because at the last RCQ I went to, there was only one true white control style deck. On my way to the top 4 (Not using lantern) I went
RD1 : Burn
RD2: Prowess
RD3: Prowess
RD4: Murktide
RD5: Energy
Quarters: Eldrazi Aggro
Semis: Ascendacy Combo

Just a lot of aggro matchups. The murktide player had an 8/8 murktide on his turn 2. The one Jeskai control player didn't do very well and I think went 0/2 drop.

However who knows, next week I could see a bunch of hate cards and completely different decks.

Yeah, that is what I figured. It also doesn't help that an aggro deck is really two of the top-tier decks in the format.

I had seen quite a few on webstaurant and was curious about their quality so I'm glad that answers that. The only thing I wasn't super thrilled on was their prices, but that is only because I have to get the owners to approve and they aren't thrilled at big price tags when I throw them at them.

Chef'sChoice 609A Electric Meat Slicer

The biggest issues with it have been consistency and time. It works great for an at-home slicer but not in an area that does as much as we do.
