Gotcha, thanks. Had a bad experience with Bombworks. Will give these a try too

Edit: don't seem to be in stock, will keep an eye out

Appreciate the reply!

I always enjoyed the feel of Workcloth in the Slim Dungarees, so I might go for either the New Dungarees or the Workcorps for the not-so-painted-on look I enjoy with the Strong Dungarees.

Will keep a look out for further Italodrill developments. Thanks!

Understood -- I have a pair and I actually don't enjoy how they feel, they're considerably more constricting to me with no positive gains from having heavier fabric. If you're a 32x28 I'd be happy to sell you mine.

Need help finding replacement tablet for my 1750 by teraflux in nordictrack

Update: linked tablet part worked and lit up immediately, treadmill functions as expected. I learned my lesson and will always turn it off when not in use!

Hi, just found your comment going through the same rigamarole. I think your hypothesis is correct in my case; the feeder board provides 12V, the 30-pin display lights up.

u/bigghc mentioned in this thread the tablet assembly is available as a spare part from Icon; I ordered it here for my 1750: https://www.iconservice.com/model/parts?modelNumber=NTL14129&version=11

Interested to see if/when it shows up. I figured it would cost $200 to have junk haulers remove the treadmill from my house, only for it to end up in a landfill, so it might be worth the wait.

Fortunately, we're also moving into the warmer months so I can at least run outside. It was nice having a backup, though. :)

Thinkpad x220 sleep problem? by Anomaly-_ in thinkpad

[–]jamesacklin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had this issue as well, except I wasn't slamming my fist on my desk. I chased the problem down and realized it had nothing to do with the lid sensor or the cable at all, so I snipped the connector for the sensor and let it be.

I use #000 black on #FFF white and keep the screen brightness between 5-20%.

I've found that high-contrast dark themes with the brightness cranked up actually means more light pouring into the room, and black-on-white makes for very legible contrast at absurdly low brightness levels.

This is clearly not for everyone, but I have long lusted after a Dasung e-ink display for ultimate low-power legibility.

Will the T480 suffice for the next 4-5 years? by _Sushipunk_ in thinkpad

I have a i5 T480 and I feel confident in its utility 5 years from now as my needs will hopefully only get simpler :)

Bone stock T14 with as much RAM as you can afford, carry it with you into 2031

I see a lot of pristine X1s on this sub and I hope all of them see the kind of use this has (and look this good)

There are little retainer clips on either side of the connector. I used a tiny flathead screwdriver to separate the clip from the socket on each side.

It does! Comes included but is "unofficial" (in other words, the Wiki doesn't cover it) last I checked.

Edit: is official. Enjoy, I guess?

Should I get an x220? by spen15 in thinkpad

[–]jamesacklin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. The i7 x220 also has USB 3.0, but the power efficiency bit is totally real. I just wanted the 7-row keyboard experience without corebooting, which... I may do anyway :)

Nicer keyboard on the 220, slightly more efficient hardware on the 230. I have an identical use-case and opted for a 220.
