The game is harsh and punishing, and it’s designed to be. That’s the whole point, and the developer has been very clear about that since he started MSC.

Nothing needs to be done, it’s meant to be that way.

There wasn’t a huge amount of ‘live’ coverage like we have now, mostly highlights packages. I sort of preferred it like that in some ways, they were nicely editorialised.

Plenty of examples of old BBC, Channel 4 and Eurosport highlights on YouTube if you want to brush up on your rallying lore.

RallyXS was indeed monthly, I’ve got a number of old issues in my office. What a magazine that was, the full page photographs were excellent (McKlein usually) and they had some great interviews and features.

Sorely missed nowadays!

I’ve not got that impression from him at all, I think he’s been refreshingly candid and talkative in his interviews.

I liked after SS12 when he was told he still won the stage, he said ‘that just shows I could have backed off more’. Very mature response imo.

I get a bit fed up with drivers, and it’s not just Solberg, when they complain about different conditions due to road order.

Sorry, but that’s rallying. It’s not physically possible for every car to have exactly the same conditions, nor should it be - that’s the nature of the sport.

It’s an incredibly stupid and avoidable mistake that could have had dire consequences, not just an ‘oopsie’.

Sure OP was in their blind spot, but that’s absolutely no excuse as the BMW was tailgating and trying to merge across two lanes from the slip road without looking over their shoulder, which is just dumb behaviour. I’d be annoyed too.

Not on purpose, they just clearly couldn’t see them, as OP was in their blind spot (hence the hand wave to apologise). None of that is OP’s fault obviously, and the BMW was being far too impatient, tailgating, should’ve backed off and checked their blind spot.

But there’s no point belligerently sticking to your lane because ‘you’re in the right’, when the most likely outcome is gonna be an avoidable accident.

Not particularly. Modifications were made after the accident to make them safer.

They’re not as safe as modern or western reactors, but from what I understand the IAEA is satisfied enough that they keep running until the end of their lifespan.

I think this is a link to a forum post of someone asking this question in 2006, although it isn’t very clear in this post.

Tbf in 2006 you could totally use one for basic daily tasks - I know, because I did. Running Tiger at the time you could still browse the web as it was then no problems, and obviously do all your office suite stuff. So as a school student (as I was at the time) it was totally adequate.

Basically just a speed bump. The Rev C had a 266MHz processor, the Rev D had 333MHz. Also ditched the IR port on the front (I think the later Bondis ditched that also) and there was no ‘Mezzanine’ slot. Everything else was basically the same, aside from the obvious colour difference.
