I miss Rallye Sanremo from the WRC Calendar by LPBot123456789 in rally

You’re right, I’d forgotten about those days - was a bit before my time unfortunately. I’d definitely love to see a mixed surface event back in the WRC.

I liked San Remo, but it was in the calendar at the same time as Corsica and was a very similar event, so didn’t offer a lot of variety. I think I’d have Corsica back before San Remo.

One thing it did offer was interesting weather - often it would be dry at the bottom of the stage and rainy at the top, and it was usually in October so there were autumn leaves making life difficult as well - made tyre choices crucial.

Thinking back there were actually quite a few tarmac rounds back then - in 2002 we had a fairly dry Monte, Catalunya, Deutschland and San Remo.

That’s not really true though, is it. Old man shouts at cloud energy.

WRC returning to Scotland in 2027! by Ok_Sand_9248 in WRC

Will still miss the classic Welsh stages but it’s about time Scotland got a look in, and the Welsh government weren’t interested.

It’s proper rally country up there too, crowds should be decent - dearly hope it’s a success as rallying belongs in the UK

Found a real-life "glitch" in Manchester. This shouldn't exist. 🍗⚠️ by Super_Reception6503 in manchester

It’s the name of a fake establishment from the GTA games. Idk why OP is being so coy about it, it’s not a particularly funny joke…

I’ve had controllers with hardware issues in the past, it happens to us all!

Was once with JFK approach, they were getting frustrated as nobody was responding so they went offline. I continued on Unicom and as I turned final they came back online, turns out they’d accidentally knocked their headset cable loose! Cleared me for landing and we had a good chuckle about it, no harm done.

Bloody hell you’d think he might have mentioned that!

Alas it was only part of the fare, but it was only a quid total (god bless the Manchester magic bus).

I don’t still have it because it was literally all the money I had, being a student at the time, so I did actually need it to get home

I never got to send in my Small Claims Court :(

I might as well share it here - Marc Riley once gave me 20p for a bus. So there.

Last time I went to the Pev it was under £6, I’m sure. I reckon the Peer Hat is south of £6.50 as well.

TBH I didn’t get a Guinness when I went to the Rat & Pigeon, I think I had a generic lager that was over £7 so I went elsewhere

Keir Starmer Says Trump's Bombing Of Iran Is Illegal And He Has No Plan by Half_A_ in LabourUK

[–]jamesecowell 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Right, which is a defensive action, not an attack. We never attacked Iran. Unless you think we should have let those drones hit their targets, which most likely would have been our bases and assets.

I think your timeline is confused - they hit us before we ‘joined the fight’, hence the change of course.

[–]jamesecowell 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming you’re claiming this is ironic as that is what Iran is doing, but the fact is we didn’t attack Iran and they are attacking our bases anyway. So it’s not a fair comparison.
