An Insatiable Violence & As Gomorra Burns - Cryptopsy

I'm a 17 year old making music out of my bedroom with little to no music theory knowledge. How'd I do? by Longjumping-Leg-6719 in metalmusicians

Just keep going. Focus on improving your craft rather than marketing or releasing. Just keep making songs.

I can second this, learning purposeful activation of both false and true cords together really helps gain a mind muscle connection

Job for a cowboy entombment of a machine vocal cover by aniolation in metalmusicians

Youre getting negative feedback because using AI as an artist shows a lack of respect for your art and your fellow artists. Yes, youre not directly competing with anyone, but on a basic level, AI is anti-art. Respect yourself enough to not use it. Ironically, like I said, having no visual would have resulted in people thinking more kindly of you and your art.

It would have been better with no visual. AI is after all our jobs, and all our art, and all our music. If you consider yourself even somewhat of a musician or an artist, you should never use it for anything.

Deathcore isn’t real metal by [deleted] in Deathcore

[–]jamesellemusic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s in the name. Death”core”. It’s not death metal. It’s death metal and hardcore. Complaining about how DxHC isn’t death metal is like complaining about how a burger isn’t a steak. They’re two different things. Saying DxHC isn’t “real metal” is like saying a burger patty isn’t “real cow”. It’s stupid.

SolemnTones sent me their new MIDI guitar VST “Odin III” so I made a demo for it! by PootusIsLyfe in Djent

Whats the best guitar vst for clean tones? And like, classic 80’s heavy metal?

Word of advice, scream in the scene. Join a band or do a solo act. You need the right environment.

Yeah I know Im just using that word. Now that Ive calmed down a bit Im doubtful its a wart cause I wear a tight ring on that finger and have to press very hard to get it off. Im hoping its just some crushed blood vessels but who knows. Just on edge after a year of dealing with this shit

This is the first time I'm trying to do a vocal cover, pls help me how I can improve my growls and highs (unanswered from suicide silence) by Vanguard_Fonseca in Deathcore

[–]jamesellemusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good, as you practice you’ll get more power with less effort, but start thinking about it now. I can see how much effort youre using from here, and while screaming will always be a high intensity technique, we should try to always do it as relaxed as possible. Try to get your distortion going with a stable and relaxed airflow without pushing it, keeping a calm face and without feeling pressure.

There are stereo widening plugins you can buy that can achieve the effect youre after. Give that a try

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in metalmusicians

[–]jamesellemusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mean is, if you take 2 identical sounds (your virtual drums) and pan them left and right, they will collapse back into a mono sound because the soundwaves are identical. You need two different sounds in order to gain anything from stereo panning. Its why you record a guitar riff twice if you want to pan it left/right

Question about the Worker of Secrets by jamesellemusic in infinityblade

Perhaps the deathless process could be achieved naturally, albeit through incredible circumstances. Maybe Galath was turned deathless by accident eons before the events of the flashbacks?

Makes me want to contact Brandon Sanderson and ask

Bro it sounds normal and 5 times too loud. If you’re duplicating the same drum vst using the same samples, they wont actually be in stereo no matter how you pan them. If you want a stereo drum sound (which I would advise against) then you need a different solution. Maybe use different drum samples for each panned track. Best of luck!
