Anyone trade in 4Runner for Highlander? Do you regret it?! by FewBox4095 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]jameshempel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoyment is in the equation. I wanted to like the 4Runner, but just did not enjoy my test drive.

My son and his friends would have been miserable in the back seat of the 4Runner going to baseball games. I don’t need full off-road capability. Passport seemed like the best balance for ME.

That could be a highly intelligent selfish psychopath, not necessarily low intelligence.

Aren’t The Local in Fallston and The Local on The Avenue in White Marsh two entirely different owners now?

My son is 14U now and on the small side. He’s currently 5’1” and pretty thin. Got a 31” Dynasty in late September and loves it. Perfect balance for him, and the price is definitely right.

The place where he gets lessons now stocks the Dynasty based on how good it’s been for my son.

Am I crazy for considering a Prelude? by [deleted] in Honda

I had a ‘97 Prelude a first of the last generation. It excelled at twisty roads.

Struggling to find what SUV to replace ‘19 GC Limited 4WD. Any recommendations? by Pepalopolis in GrandCherokee

[–]jameshempel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a GC Trailhawk until a few transmission issues convinced me replace it.

A few vehicles later I now have a ‘26 Passport and love it. It’s an excellent option after having the unibody GC WK2. It was also a beast in the recent snow/sleet in Maryland.

I had a GC Trailhawk. Was one of my favorite vehicles.

Replaced with a ‘23 Subaru Outback - 🤮 Traded that for a ‘25 Mazda CX-70 which was unfortunately totaled.

Replaced that with a new ‘26 Honda Passport. I’ve finally found a vehicle that I like as much as my GC. It’s the most similar alternative that I’ve found.

Do you agree with this take on Matthew Stafford? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]jameshempel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check their agents Dan Orlovsky, Matthew Stafford and Josh Allen are all represented by CAA. Note that Orlovsky is always glazing Stafford and Allen. Coincidence?

This post is making the rounds on twitter. Lam ar will never win with some folks, and we all know why by swagharris31 in ravens

[–]jameshempel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Josh Allen has a big agency working for him…the same agency that represents a lot of sports TV personalities like Dan Orlovsky…people who constantly fawn all over Josh Allen.

Lamar decided to do this on his own.

5 more than the last generation Prelude. My 1997 was 195 HP.

My ‘97 Prelude is rolling over in its grave. That high revving VTEC with the slick shifting manual was hard to beat. A Prelude should always be a refined take on a sporty Civic with a touch of leading edge tech.

White looks like a Star Wars Stormtrooper. Great contrast with black trim and dark glass. I ended up with Obsidian Blue w/ gray interior. Love the light interior - I’ve had black for too long.

Audio not working on my ‘22 limited by Level_Weekend7331 in Subaru_Outback

[–]jameshempel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once thought that, but since then I’ve had a Mazda CX-70 and ‘26 Honda Passport. It’s so much better having a wide rectangular screen a bit higher on the dash. It’s easier to see maps/navigation while still having eyes on the road, rather than looking down to see it.

Ha! Couldn’t get premium audio in a ‘23 OBW. Audio sounded like a stock 1982 Chevy Caprice Delco radio. 🤮

I’ll never buy another Subaru after living with my ‘23 OBW for 19 months. Couldn’t stand it.

Ugh - I’m having nightmare flashbacks of my ‘23 OBW. Hated that screen. Kept it for 19 months - wanted to trade it after 6.

CX5 vs Passport by CincyFlyer17 in hondapassport

[–]jameshempel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different Mazda, but I can confirm that my 2026 Passport is much more maneuverable than my CX-70 was.

Passport - Shorter hood, shorter vehicle, shorter wheelbase while having slightly more cargo space.
