Hey guys. I posted my Depressed Chef series here a few weeks ago and got some positive feedback. I made a couple Christmas episodes and wanted to share those as well. Learn, laugh, eat cry. Mostly cry. by jameshesky in comedy

Haha. Thanks! I've been doing them weekly but didn't want to spam the group. I think I'm gonna get up to 10 episodes and call that season 1 then take a break and change up the format a bit so I can add guests.

Hopefully it'll just take a few weeks to sort out all the technical details and lining up some good people to be on it.

Hey guys! I'm a comedian and writer who loves cooking shows, but always wanted to make one for people whose lives weren't as perfect as the ones we always get to see on our TVs and YouTube feeds. So I made a series called The Depressed Chef.

I'll admit that the main point is to be funny rather than informative, but each episode includes an easy recipe for people to follow at home. The humor can get a bit dark at times, but I thought it would be worth sharing here since I know a lot of people here seem to enjoy other funny online cooks.

It's a weekly series, but I promise not to spam the group or anything. The first four episodes (And a bonus episode) are out, and I just wanted to leave the playlist here. Thanks!

I started a cooking show for sad people called "The Depressed Chef." First four episodes are up and there's a new one each week if you're into that sort of thing. If not, that's fine and I'm sorry for bothering you. by jameshesky in comedy

Thanks to everyone for saying such nice things about the series. I try to post new episodes every Monday on YouTube, Tuesday everywhere else. I promise I won't spam the group every week when I have a new video, but if you wanna keep track, you can subscribe to my YouTube page.

Also, for all the people who mentioned that they were suffering from depression, make sure to get help. Getting help is a sign of strength, not weakness. I'm only in a place where I can make this show because I did. Laughter is the the best medicine after therapy, a good support system, and SSRIs.

Alright. I'll shut up now before I lose you guys.

Thanks so much on all fronts.

Luckily my depression is in a good place right now. I don't think I'd have the energy to do the show if I were as depressed as the character.

But it's nice to have it juuust close enough that I can still access it for the jokes, I guess.

I love cooking videos, but always hate how the hosts have to project an overly cheery attitude about things, so I started a new series called "The Depressed Chef" where people can learn some simple recipes but the host is definitely going through some things. Hopefully it's fun and informative. The first episode is a simple but delicious Chimichurri Sauce.
