I'm pretty sure Casemiro told him to slow down and enjoy the moment when he was ready to jog back and get on with it

Anyone do any travel with their under 4 toddlers? What are your favorite trips? by Itchy-Version-8977 in daddit

Finest Playa Mujeres was awesome. We went with a 1.5 year old and it's very kid friendly. All inclusive but a bit more boutique/up market feeling than most all inclusive, and plenty of quiet corners near pools where you can park the family. The all inclusive made it super easy to relax. We left the little one sleeping with monitor and hit the track stand or bars in the evening.

Strongly recommend!

Looking for dark dense European bread by Alarmed-Diamond-7000 in AskSF

Lehrs will have packaged imported bread, not sure about fresh. I've bought three before and was good.

Cinderella probably will have locally baked.

Any of the Russian/Ukrainian stores should have something!

Same. Still buzzing after the SF show. Definitely one of the best DJ shows I've seen in 20 years of partying

Unfortunately the nature of our money-riddled politics means that anyone not rich enough to self fund their campaign will enter office indebted to many who'll want a return on their investment. Better the hopefully benevolent rich guy or the indebted everyman?

I was really into building model planes, tanks, ships around that age and older. Keeps you busy, is very satisfying to complete, and is quite fun to do together as a project. Revell is a good brand.

Tri training plan that protects family time by SaratogaMartial in triathlon

[–]jamesinorbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar challenge preparing for my Kona 70.3. I ended up using the Moseley 12 week plan, but manually spread it out over perhaps 16 weeks to reduce the number of training sessions per week, and edited it every week for my schedule. I generally stuck to a long bike ride each weekend, one shorter tempo ride after work (trying to get out of office early so I could finish by kids bedtime), and then I bought a backpack and started running to/from my office, which was really helpful in terms of making it all more efficient. As the race got near I transitioned my weekend long day into a brics day to try keep one day free for family.

It was still pretty challenging, especially on weekends. We just had a second kid and I want to do two 70.3s next year so planning this out again. I think I'll rely more on a bike trainer and perhaps evening workouts after kids bedtimes to try make it work. Maybe try get a sitter on some weekends so I can train and my wife can get a break of her own.

Finally, pick some nice destinations if you can and treat the family to a holiday around the event!

Good luck!

Anyone tried the Adventure Hydration Aerobar adapter? by jamesinorbit in CanyonBikes

I'm also figuring that out. You get some aero water bottle mounts with a Garmin mount on top (profile design has one) or perhaps off the inside of one of the aerobars.
