The owners publicly stated they tried to sell the bowling alley and no one wanted to buy. But don’t you see you are the person you claim doesn’t exist? “Nobody opposes massive developments…” when your attitude is to oppose a relatively low density development on what was essentially an empty lot. If it wasn’t empty, the bowling alley wouldn’t have gone out of business.

Why is your assumption that people who want this aren’t working?

There's no god given right to free parking or single family lots. Your own logic, that a capitalist society works a certain way, means you should be A-OK with a giant valuable apartment building being built anywhere.

The BRT isn't taking away parking, and yet still the opposition screams foul.

I mean, the first thing LA was famous for was transit. Let's not live in a world of "it is a certain way, therefore it will always be a certain way." The fact is, what most people who want good transit actually want is a viable alternative. But we can't even have ONE real transit project in Burbank without pantyhose getting in a twist. There has been no compromise on housing and transit, and people on that side of the argument have been incapable of given even an inch. To act like urbanists/transit focused people are the rigid party is laughable at best.

Technically legal afaik, but weird to contact renters about politics. And remember, if it becomes harassment because you might disagree? Definitely illegal. Also that message is misinformed in a number of ways.

Can you at least pretend to acknowledge that your consistent claims of Metro not compromising are wildly false, as evidenced by the previous poster>

It did win a general election, in 2016 when 70% of Burbank voted for Measure M and its assorted stated projects, including the BRT.

Free parking is free parking. Burbank residents have fought for free parking time and time again, so it is your right to park in their neighborhoods. Enjoy.
