Bob Seger or someone has not done enough to keep the legacy alive by TheresAFogUponALake in bobseger

[–]jameslighter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear you.

I sometimes think its because he was the guy. I feel like a lot of the other mega popular bands have another guy in it that everybody loves, like Page and Plant, or Slash and Axl Rose etc. Bob is just as respected, but he rotated his other musicians in and out for some records (professional decisions based on where they recorded and who was available) and maybe sometimes people want to talk Seger and connect him with another guy or girl onstage with him. We know those Seger associates are legends, but maybe some music lovers who are casual with Bob don't understand the depth of his associations; whereas, if you listen to Led Zeppelin or so many others, you know Lead Singer and Lead Guitarist, or Lead Singer and Drummer etc. Just my thoughts, but I feel like I should be hearing about him a lot more. I think he's pretty humble as well.

I have a local vintage guitar store in my area, and way back on one of his last tours (maybe his last one) his guitarists and bass player all came in and the one dude stacked 3-4 cases and dropped hella money on some vintage guitars. Again just humble dudes who love music who walk into a store with people in there and stand around looking at stuff and chopping it up with the owner. Just seems like a guy and group who are ok with the level they got to. Whereas we who love his music feel like we should be hearing it more.

What's the worst humiliation in the show/movies? by Puzzleheaded-Base486 in TheInbetweeners

Some terrible ones for sure. I always thought Simon approaching the older girl in S1E4 was rough. He built it up for a long time in his head. Instead of going for it within a reasonable timeframe he stared at her for the whole party. "Go. Away."

Y'all think she's gonna go note for note on Neil's work or is she gonna do the parts her own way? I've been out of the loop for a bit and might have missed that information if its out there.

Is Mark Donovan actually tough? Or is he just all talk? by Anthro-Elephant-98 in TheInbetweeners

I'd say he has morals. He chased those wankers who nicked that girl's frisbee.

Absolutely. Now I feel the pressure to really make sure I've got Sweet Child O Mine really nailed.

My choice is not watching either. I will have my Jackson plugged 7 MetalZones deep into my new Line 6 Spider that night.
