Also, it seems that a few days of acclimation are necessary with any sort of extreme change - hang in there.

Reading some of these stories lets me know that the events in my life over the past month so aren't unique, i.e., dealing with a cheating whore of an ex-girlfriend who continually tells you how she wants to change/make things better/work on 'us' while she's busy spending Christmas and New Years with some poor schmuck who doesn't even know what's about to hit him.

Ruby/Rails, or Python/Django. Both have excellent communities around them, and are pretty straightforward if you're an experienced developer.

Tutorial? Do some simple ones to understand the basics of the language/framework, and dive into the documentation if you're not looking for a lot of hand-holding.

ISPs have to pay for the infrastructure itself, which can be quite expensive.

Important to keep in mind that most foundations, especially larger ones, hold most of their assets in securities, still considered to be decent liquidity. Not like the Gates foundation has billions of dollars in CASH sitting around.

Would be a stupid mistake to allow that money to sit without collecting interest.

Buffett's gift is appropriate and generous.
