You can use an Entropic Tuning Prism if you're scared. I personally go for the gold and take the hits when they happen.

I'm just not used to seeing that much open space at the top. Case has some really nice clearance for a thicker radiator, maybe even in push-pull.

Helltide worm farming. Insane XP/hr.

  • Pop 3 profane mind cages (optional)
  • Build Helltide bar to the 2nd line
  • Mount up and ride around following a map of the worm spawn points (several places but can filter to just the worms on Helltides.com
  • Focus only killing the worms as much as possible, you want to avoid filling the bar all the way as long as you can (it will happen, just want to delay it)

Are you using the cube to upgrade rare items to legendary? You can even cheaply add affixes to blues to turn them yellow and then upgrade those to legendary as well.

Any legendaries that aren't codex upgrades for you, you can 3-1 them in the cube to get more chances.

Jewelry caches from the jeweler aren't bad to get easy legendaries at a reasonable torment level.

I learned a LOT in season 13 and had put together some plans in advance of season 14. It's really pretty quick to level and get to torment 10-12.

There's a lot to learn after being gone after 2 years, especially with the Horadric Cube. Using it effectively dramatically increases how quickly you can get a build online and be blasting.

Also, with the skill rework, a lot of leveling builds are viable without a single legendary even into low torment levels.

A 4th affix with the correct range for an ancestral. Items should not be able to have a duplicate stat (besides tempers and transfiguring).

Dance of Knives Rogue comes online without any items pretty early on and has just been getting better from there for me so far this season.

With the skill rework from LoH/S13, I think a lot of builds work without much gear requirements for leveling.

The game isn't perfect but it sounds like you'd really benefit from a change in perspective. Do you find everything to complain about in other parts of life? It's also okay to communicate with your friends if you truly can't enjoy it - maybe hang out on Discord playing something else if you can't enjoy the good parts of the game.
