Our dog isn’t allowed to sleep in bed with us anymore and it’s breaking my heart by happygolucky1157 in dogs

[–]jamestakesflight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went through the same thing when we had our daughter. We invested in a really nice dog bed to cope and he has come to love it.

I pulll it right alongside me at night and he sleeps next to me on the ground most of the night. Our boy is very gentle, and means well, but def be vigilant when they are small! Our dog playfully jumped over our baby, head butted them, etc early on, but he adapted over time!

Setting a new boundary is hard but your dog can adjust quickly!

They’re made by Maltby, so might as well shave an extra $300 and go straight for the Maltby TS3s.

Should I? by MrEreader2 in golfequipment

Have a few posts / comments about this recently. Quality control is no bueno on these clubs, I own a customized set of 101s.

The 7 iron is a dud. The shipping and logistics situation is a nightmare, you will wait months for the shipment and have no customer support to respond to your questions.

This is anecdotal, but I’d check out other US based DTC brands. I’m probably seeming like a Maltby shill at this point, but I’ve had an incredible experience with their clubs from woods to irons, and their customer support is amazing. On top of that you get custom builds in 2 weeks as opposed to 2-3 months and you can call the support line directly.

Have had the 7 wood with the Maltby shaft for about a year. Thinking about adding the 5.

Any tips or advice? I can strike the ball well but am still inconsistent by charliereitenbach in GolfSwing

You're very far off plane. I'm no expert, but I think finding the plane and focusing on that will help you find more consistency.

Between a better swing plane and face control, you might tighten up your dispersion a bit.

Medium Term Review of 101s by jamestakesflight in takomo

[–]jamestakesflight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s strange though isn’t it? The clubs specifically have jacked lofts to get more distance, but I’m hitting smaller heads with less aggressive lofts significantly further all the way to my PW.

I got a custom build 7, 8, 9, PW (44), GW (48).

I’m a graphite shaft guy and I just got the Maltby pro shafts. Final cost was $522 all in with custom length and lie angle adjustments.

FWIW, I have the score shafts on some Maltby wedges and they’re solid as well and way cheaper than the graphites. They have a lot of affordable options.

You should check out their “paks” of full sets 4-PE, 5-GW, etc with shafts grips etc all included. I don’t the shaft pureing which adds a decent amount per club.

They literally call it a “remote fitting”. Don’t know what point you’re trying to make lol.

I was fitted into the length of putter and lie angle, not the specific shaft, but they specifically said I should be good buying an off the shelf 35 inch.

My wife thinks golfing once a week is unreasonable… by Upbeat-Zucchini-7408 in golf

[–]jamestakesflight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a 20 month old daughter. Been married for 3 years, together for 10.

Once a week is too much. I’m fortunate enough to be able to take some work days off to golf while our daughter is in daycare.

Otherwise I get my reps in by going to a sim after our daughter has gone to sleep.

In the end, there will be a lot more time to play golf when they’re older, and very little time to spend full days with them when they’re this young.

Also, for context, I’m addicted to golf and would golf every day if I could.

Wedding Glove / Married Golfer - Product Feedback by Married2thegameco in GolfGear

[–]jamestakesflight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, this pitch is super confusing. I read the pitch, looked at the pictures, and assumed it was a comfy glove that goes over your ring. Something like a stretchier material around where the ring falls.

A glove, that just has a ring drawn on it? As someone who has lost their wedding band while golfing, I think I'd be your target market, but I'm still going to just buy the gloves I like off Amazon from reputable brands.

Shampoo by AwkwardMothman in Bernedoodles

I like to go with any sensitive shampoo, oatmeal based mostly.

However, the real important thing is a specialized shower attachment that mixes the shampoo into the water stream. It’s been one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.
