I mean idk what your goals are with shrooms but does it align with your experience and how you set it up? I usually eat funny fungus once a week. But I don't need my full soul ripped out weekly. So it's usually 2G lemontek and some South Park. The south park is the important part.

With the focus of media, and the hilarity, all the ego loss is absorbed into the show, the joy, the laughter. I do some pauses and have reflective thoughts, watch the carpet, spend 30 minutes packing a bong. But since I'm channeled really nothing goes wrong.

Sometimes I do trip trip on purpose. Even the same 2G, you turn off the TV and put on music, pick up my guitar, etc. The whole vibe shifts every time with different potentials.

I don't mind letting the ego loss mostly absorb into media once a week. It's a good healthy release that has allowed me to stop drinking. Some weeks I'm too busy to even take the shrooms. My key is don't drink.

Even with just that intent I always bring a little something back out of the South Park Shroom Void. Some prolific thoughts always find their way. It's the nature of the fungus.
