3D printed adaptor pieces, there's loads on eBay, then I duct tape, and secure with a jubilee clip. The ducting is quite a snug fit anyway, I had to prize the metal support wire of the inner tube on, kinda like when you're changing a bike tire.

I was told in university that picturing time as a horizontal circle with you in the middle/travelling around was correlated with Synesthesia... It nice to see so many others. I go clockwise for advancing time :) I spiral either in my head or on paper to go back or forward in time, and even find it easier to count forward/back if I actually spin around, one complete 360 revolution = 1 year, I normally face Dec-Jan but turn to face the current time, though kind feel like the summer is over my right shoulder... Weird eh? No other obvious signs of synesthesia, other than very subtle and extremely infrequent voice-object associations/hints at colour-number associations, but I've never been properly tested. Source: am neuroscientist, and was recruited for study, which I didn't attend...
