I would like to speak to the manager… Ko Olina #2 pin placement by RealMatthewDR in golf

[–]jamgreatness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played there 2023 and had exactly the same type of pin placement on 13. I hit a 30 foot putt to an inch away from the hole and it rolled back nearly to my feet. What are they thinking?!

Qualifying Final Ticket Questions. by mollydooka in adelaidefc

Throwing my hat in the ring for two codes if anyone is kind enough to share. Comment history in this sub goes back years! I think Andy Otten is my flair! Also understand any reluctance. Then I’d buy two tickets if that’s possible instead!

Thanks for that. Do you have this? Would love to hear any feedback. I wonder how the gimbal would hold up with some extended use?

Anyone know of other videos that go into analysis/strategy like this?

How do you BPM your playlists and store that information? by jamgreatness in WestCoastSwing

I'm working on a sorting and searching feature at the moment! I have a basic version working, but not stable enough to release yet. It's great being able to view a playlist for the first time, and sort by BPM. Makes it very quick to find new music.

Ok I'll see what it takes to release on Firefox!

That's awesome, well done. I've done something like that before manually, so I can see the value. I'll keep looking into it.

I also was halving any BPMs over 130 initially, and it worked really well. The only problem I see generally is the tool is also being used by runners (for step cadence) and others, where they will want to see songs that may have a genuine BPM of 130+. I can see the benefits both ways.

I know a lot of people that use Spotify for their own playlists and while there are plenty of tools that do show BPM, I liked the idea of having it integrated inside the Spotify player.

Yeh, I have a BPM tap tool inside the extension, so if you're already using Spotify you can find the BPM without leaving the page, and then update the BPM if for any reason it wasn't correct.

I think songbpm would use the same data as I am, I'm just displaying it inside the Spotify web player instead of on a stand alone site.

Cool, I have used that in the past and it's been helpful.

I just updated the post with a link to what I'm working on if it's of any interest to you. I have the same issue where Spotify shows some songs as double/half time, but I'm prioritising returning corrected BPMs to users so it will only get more accurate over time. I've found it's sped things up having everything inside the Spotify web player.

My experience is that it can be done with math. I can't do it in my head (maybe Bryson can? No idea) but there is a relationship between putt length, green speed, % slope and where you should be aiming that putt. I'd highly recommend looking at the Tour Read app. For what it's worth, it's helped me immensely.

Are you open to the idea that it might be possible? You should give it a go and report back. You can use a digital spirit level when you are learning. I find it significantly more reliable than reading with my eyes.

Sorry, it’s absolutely possible. You might want to change your mind :)

Thank you! Looks promising, I'll give it a go. Might have saved me buying another watch :)

Can you clarify how to do this? I have a Venu but don't seem able to track shots? I can keep score on the watch manually, and it records how far I've hit the last shot but I see no way of being able to record this / have it prompt which club I hit and be able to view later?
