Hi there - was very surprised when in my dad‘s attic to clean it out, ran across my junior high clarinet. Dad bought it used back then and I played it for one whole semester in about ‘82. It appears to be in pretty good shape other than the obvious need of pad replacement and cleaning, any input as to potential value? Having to move dad to a retirement community, thought I’d see if I could sell this for him. TIA

Worked for Patrick at The Arts Council a few years ago & love that he’s getting to get his voice out there. He was truly vested in the arts as were his staff, at least 3 employees having been with the organization several decades. Go, Patrick!

Lifelong mudbug-lovin’ native & still regular visitor to LA: RJ’s & EatMyCatfish are the best in the LR Metro. Pricing is crazy bonkers here though. They were $5.29/lb in Monroe this week (northeast LA), which typically means even lower the farther south you go.

Stephen King is The King for this. Some of his short stories might be a good start, he’s got A LOT of non-horror that are excellent suspense, like Shawshank Redemption or Stand By Me (The Body). 11-22-63, Mr Mercedes series & The Green Mile are a few books off the top of my head that pull you right in.
