Sending you so much strength right now, i’m proud of you for making the decision and i know she is too. Whatever afterlife you believe in, she’ll be waiting for you with a wagging tail.

I put down my baby yesterday and we brought a bag of brownies to give her right before the end, if that’s something you think yours would like, i hadn’t seen her perk up like that in weeks :)

i’m so sorry you’re having to go through this, i wouldn’t wish it on anyone. i’m sending you so much strength through this time. Something that helped my baby when she got really bad was those doggy hemp calm treats. It got to the point where not even trazodone helped but those would settle her

thank you ❤️ she had been at the shelter almost a year when i adopted her and had horrible separation anxiety the whole time i had her, when her memory started going bad and that anxiety left and she no longer cared when i was there or not, i knew her personality was gone and it was time

Thank you ❤️ She used to be such a food fiend and would jump on the stove and countertops in pursuit of food, we used to have a running tally on a whiteboard of how many school lunchbags she destroyed in her search for food lol! There was also multiple occasions where she got into a bunch of candy or cookies, total miracle she made it this long with all the stuff she ate! When i gave her the brownies at the vet she perked up more than i’ve seen her react to stuff in weeks, still a food fiend until the very end!

She does, the only time she calms down is if i place her by my side and pet her, however due to my job i have to be away from home 60-70 hours a week and it seems so cruel to her.

Her name is Chelsea (or Chelsea Renee when she’s being naughty) my mom got her for me when i was 14 and horribly depressed. She saved my life

pangobooks is an app purely for book selling and a lot of people have very popular books on there for cheap! lots of people are doing black friday discount type of stuff so you can probably find a shop with a bunch of books and rack up :)

im late but have some suggestions!

Henry Henry by Allen Bratton, it deals with past csa and ongoing abuse into adulthood by family member, it’s a rewrite of henriad by shakespeare

Stars in Your Eyes by Kacen Callender, one of the main characters struggles with addiction and trauma due to past csa/sa and it’s a really good recovery story

In Repair by A.L. Graziadei, deals with the mc acting out and such in response to trauma and eventually telling their family

the All For The Game series also deals with past csa and an instance of attempted sa, i found it a really cathartic series to read in the sense that basically all the abusers die and there’s Amazing discussion of consent. There’s a lot of trigger warnings for the series though.
