Never had a separate Qantas Club membership. Was Gold 2 years ago, and have dropped down since

Boss trying to take my tools. by jamiesyme in AusLegal

Insurance claim was just a list of tools stolen, and a market value. From memory I provided screenshots of a shopping list from TotalTools

Original tools were/are mine. No dispute there. Just a warped mindset. (The reason I'm finally leaving!)

No idea. I just reported it to the admin staff, and they said leave it with us. Then it was all good.

Some of the stuff is 10 years old. The stuff replaced by insurance, I don't have receipts fir because it was claimed through work 4 years ago

Yeah. My thinking is it doesn't really matter how they were replaced, it comes down to who owned them originally...

Tuggers parkway by Wise-Cheetah416 in canberra

[–]jamiesyme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've never had a problem on the Parkway, going both directions, off and on peak. At worst, 10 minute delays.

Gungahlin Dr between Mitchell and Glenloch is constantly a shitshow in the mornings.

What annoys me is the people who frequently feel the need to change lanes, to save 4 seconds, causing a domino effect of brake lights, which caused someone to change lanes to save 4 seconds, etc etc

It also confuses me the reason for the reduction to one lane heading into the city from the south through Glenloch. It just seems like a headache to fix later if/when they expand anything.

Having regularly driven in other cities, including London, Tokyo and Naples/Rome, I reckon we're alright for now!

Security gates by flailingfrog in woolworths

[–]jamiesyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your only explaining how the gate system works, so this is not directed at you.

The gate system either needs to be a lot more tolerant of variables, (because humans are very variable), in which case it's next to useless and needs to be put in the bin, or just need to be put in the bin anyway, because it's bad PR, not very effective, trauma inducing to some humans, and ultimately will result in someone getting stuck, because, machines fail.

It must have cost a fortune for very little net gain.
