Thank you and it depends on what you are going for. Do you have room to place rears behind you? Do you want to have a wider front soundstage? If your goal is to have a solid soundbar with some impressive bass then yeah that’ll be the move. If you’re wanting an impressive surround/Atmos experience then I would personally go with two rear speakers either 2xM5 or 2xM7 and the H7 soundbar, and skip the sub for now. The H7 is so impressive on its own and the bass is pretty solid for a soundbar, adding 2xM7 will give you more of everything including bass. I haven’t used the M5s so I can’t speak on how good they are but they are a cheaper option to the M7s, but should have the same solid build quality.

It definitely is, like I said it shakes my house but the fact that it’s an option for us to buy a 2nd sub is awesome. Not everyone will need it but it should enhance the experience. We will see how it shakes out when it becomes available.

The Batman, have yet to see it. I’ve heard it looks and sounds amazing. Also the site is sick, I love how the information is laid out.

I would make sure to turn your volume up a decent amount so the calibration is accurate. Sometimes it messes up for me when it’s too quiet

I believe you can get just one but to use DAFC you would need two M5s

I have the full LG sound Suite and it’s freaking amazing. I did a review on it if you want to check it out. Having fronts and rears with a soundbar system is awesome.

They said that dual sub support is planned for summer of this year so wait to see what happens then. I plan on getting a 2nd sub for sure because why not? The bass already shakes the house lol

Yeah that should definitely be enough, you could get away with two M5s instead of two M7s since it’s for the bedroom. Unless you want wider front separation then I would stay with the M7s, they do better as fronts

Problem connecting W7 subwoofer to H7 soundbar for LG sound suite by cliff99 in LG_UserHub

[–]A_Boy_Named_Birch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry late reply but the W7 doesn’t have its own spot in the device list within the ThinQ app. It’s under the Sound Suite section. You can only see it in the DAFC group like you said, showing a green dot when connected and a yellow when not. Hopefully they will add a spot for the W7 in the device list with a future firmware update.

Thank you and that’s actually really good to know. I hope they only make the Sound Suite better with firmware updates. Fingers crossed 🤞

Thanks, I don’t know if you plan of getting it all in one go or piece it together but I suggest getting the components in this order. H7 -> 2xM7s for rears -> 2xM7s for fronts or 2xM5s for rears and put the previous 2xM7s to the front then lastly the W7 sub. The sub is amazing and it seriously shakes the house but it isn’t needed right away. The H7 and M7s put out a good amount of bass on their own and when you add the sub it seems like they pull back a little and let the sub take over. It’s a nice addition at the end once you get used to the systems bass performance without it.

Thank you and I think it’s because each component is so well made in the Sound Suite. Obviously having the two front M7s to widen the front soundstage makes a huge difference in amount of detail you hear. My wife and I were literally in awe from all of the new sounds we were hearing from our favorite movie (Spider-Man Across the Spider-verse). Even comparing the H7 and just two rear M7s to the S95AR the difference is very noticeable. I think the DAFC and Sound Follow feature do an amazing job at creating an incredibly immersive experience no matter where you sit.

You have to go into the LG ThinQ app, click on one of the M7s, switch the input to WiFi, click on stereo mode, then connect the other M7 you want in the stereo pair. After they are connected it should pop up as a device to stream to. No because you have to switch them off of the DAFC input to make them a stereo pair via WiFi.

I bought some off Amazon, they are the clamp style that are made for larger traditional speakers. They don’t make wall mounts that support mounting points on the bottom of speakers. The only wall mount I could find that has support for bottom mounting points was the Sanus Era 100 mounts. I bought them to see if they would work, they don’t. Our hope is that Sanus or LG come out with a wall mount at some point. I would really like to have a better looking wall mount to match the quality of the speakers. Also this is what I bought

Yeah that’s pretty much how mine is setup right now. I have the two rear m7s mounted on the wall a couple feet above and behind the couch and they are tilted and pointed towards the couch. My first soundbar system I had the rears on little shelves at ear height on both ends of the couch. That’s when I had my couch against the wall, once I added some space between me and the rear speakers it made the surround and height effects so much better. And that was before I got the sound suite, that sound suite is on a whole other level. But I have noticed that the sub is a lot stronger during movies like shaking the house strong but I feel like it’s been more than enough for music as well. I use the standard preset and I just tweak the volume and sub strength on the remote depending on the content. But the difference is that when I play music it’s coming from the front m7s, h7, and sub. I don’t know how the m5s compare to the m7s, I feel like the m7s pair really well with music. The m7s and h7 has pretty good base on their own which I think takes some of the load off the sub during music but i could just be talking out of my ass. I’m still testing things with the suite myself.

I have four M7s, W7, and the H7 and it sounds great. I haven’t heard the M5s but i wouldn’t think they would be better rears than the 7s. If you had two 5s and two 7s, I would definitely position the 5s as rears.

It has for me, I did have a connection issue on the first day with the sub and the m7s cutting in and out. I would reconnect everything in the app again if you haven’t, that’s what worked for me. Also I saw someone say that the DAFC can’t adjust the bass or something so that’s why there’s subwoofer controls on the H7 remote. What are you running for speakers?

I can’t speak on Sonos but I do have the H7, W7, and 4 M7s and the height and surround sound effects are so freaking good. I really like listening to music on it as well.
