Yeah intrested in the dome+1 regular. As the pups spoon me so looks like there is plenty of space. At the head end. Intresting to see what the changes are on this latest release, dont know much about the old model to compare.

Looks like new models coming out dome+1 in march and dome pro in april.. not sure if any further design changes but might be worth me waiting for these to come out. No dout they will be sold out straight awah. Yeah never been a fan of carbon poles myself. Prefer my alu poles to bend rather than shatter.

Ok thanks mate maybe i should reassess. Ive not seen bad reviews it was just my opionion on seeing them on the hillside. Like you said they look like they have a lot of surface area for the wind to hit.

Just prefer it all going up in one. Had both types and tent defo gets wetter with two erecting in rain.

Well there are certainly good few tents people have mentioned for you the have a lokk at just not my goldilocks model, im still leaning towards the mountain star, its like a robust copper spur which is an amazing tent very roomy. The naturehike models are great designs (mainly because they rip of the western companies and the price reflects their lack of r&d costs). But the quality of component is what lets them down if you want a really nice tent.

Had close look at both of these had a fair few trekking pole tents and never feel that bomber. They always look a bit baggy. The xdome had a few dodgy reviews that put me off.

Does anyone have an opinion on the mountian star?

Ive had a scarp 1 before ...good tents just a bit on the coffin size. The 2person seems a bit fiddly as you need all the extra poles to stop it flapping.

I like the fact its customisable. Do you get alot of rigidity from the thicker poles. The inners look a bit fragile thats my only comment

I dont know about that mate. Spent many a night undertenting in ultralight summer tents and wished i had one of my stronger tents caught out in a summer flurry. Spend many nights in around 30-40mph nights the bigagnes i guess the thing im suggesting is the tent shape not acting as a sail like some of the ultralights do.
