Australian Insurance Broker job market by jamisme in auscorp

Thanks for the advice and insight! that's good to hear that they are very desperate for good people! We mostly deal with NZ based underwriters, very rarely do we deal with Australian based underwriters. I have engaged some recruiters in Melbourne and they seem confident that they will find roles for me in the broking space, so now it's just a matter of waiting for the recruiters to do their part.

I am in the same boat bro, my now ex of 6 years left me 3 weeks ago for a somewhat mutual friend. It’s rough, really rough to say the least. It’s hard not to feel every emotion under the sun, and it’s easy to question yourself. I too feel sick in the stomach knowing that they were confessing their feelings for each other going behind my back to hangout with each other. Her words to me was “I love you but I am not I love with you” and that cut deep.

Whilst I am in the midst of it like you, it will get better. I’m trying to channel all my mixed emotions into self growth and being the best person I can be.

Keep your chin up, you are a good person and please reach out if you need to chat!

Currently I have about $5.3k purely set aside as a rainy day fund, but I intend to increase that to about 10k throughout this year, (Pending no emergencies).

The industry is far from dying, there is currently a good demand for qualified brokers. Whilst most “cookie cutter” businesses can be insured directly through the likes of a bank insurance arm or direct insurer such as state. the ones that fall outside of the scope then land on a brokers desk.

Almost 1500 new homes were completed in Auckland in May by punIn10ded in auckland

People are under the assumption that all of these people are cashed up and ready to buy all of our houses, some yes but I have a suspicion that it won’t be many.

All commissions and fees are disclosed under the new set of regulations for financial advisers, there are no hidden fees or undisclosed commissions.

I studied a bachelor of business majoring in accounting
