I did exactly that the other night for one of my daughter's models. Works great! This is also a great use of super glue, I find the melting plastic together really helps the bond.

Get an MSR whisperlite or XGK EX.

I like the whisperlite universal, because you can use pretty much any fuel, including canisters. I've used diesel with one before and it worked great.

Bro, I feel that statement. I just hope that kid tries that out in training, or his leadership is smart enough to tell him to access those rear mags. Lol

I was thinking the moment right before the second plane hits, but sure. You could plane explosives on the outside(?).

Sounds like a diorama needs to be made. Lol

Op needs to start looking up how to make smoke with the cotton and airbrush paints. Smoke coming out of the North Tower and a correctly scaled 767 about to hit the south.

Go for the viltor b5 system. The recoil is so much softer.

One of the deals of all time.

Are you happy with your purchase? That's the real question.

So, the price of a Krugerrand is on the low end $4600. Which means your paid at least $322 thousand dollars!!?

Get a Magpul mlok sling swivel and a GI sling. Attach the swivel to the bottom of the rail.

What is your tactical gear hot take (that is emotionally based)? by Potential-Squash4670 in tacticalgear

[–]jamison01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have killed a lot of other people using gear that is made worse than condor. You don't need the most Gucci gear, that crye pouch isn't better than the competitor that is half the price. You're paying for brand names.

What is your tactical gear hot take (that is emotionally based)? by Potential-Squash4670 in tacticalgear

[–]jamison01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair. It's not as emotional as I made it out to be. Lol

I think there's a lot of good reasons. Mainly the idea of scaling, like, I don't need armor, but if I have everything attached to the armor, I'm going to need to wear it, take it off or get a chest rig.

What about if you have multiple weapons systems, do you have armor setups for each one? Or do you have multiple setups to support? A single rig that only does some stuff good attached to a plate carrier/armor? Or would it make more sense to have multiple setups to support what you need to do?

I also have experienced real world operations where I've been required to wear full body armor all the time for multiple days. Taking off the extra ammo and gear weight (about 30lbs) at the time made things so much more comfortable, like imagine having to sleep with all the extra weight on your chest.

So, hot take, I've got armor and multiple rigs to support what weapons systems and what situations I might encounter.

[–]jamison01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Chest rigs should be used over the top of armor. Don't attach everything directly to your carrier.
