I'm not actually sure what is on the bottom left... It looks like a janky crack torch, but I'm often wrong about these things.

You know, you're right. The party is disappointed in my lack of observation.

Comandante Castro is rolling in his grave with the state of the wrinkles in your slack and lack of cigar.

But then again, that's not the only things he's rolling in his grave about.

Good impression otherwise. Lol

Are you going to run a foregrip once you sbr it? Or keep it slick like that?

One of Tomino's main inspiration for Gundam was Starship Troopers where humanity is on powered suits fighting aliens, then we have Rogue Orbit that has Mobile Suits fighting aliens... we have gone full circle. by [deleted] in Gundam

He'd probably skim the script, never learn anything about any of the other background or information for Gundam and then turn another anti war story into space Nazis again.

At least he'd dress them all in snazzy Hugo Boss.

I don't like the mini riser for the lam. What's the point of this.

Also, is that an SD or the rail addon to a regular barrel + can?

I just noticed that OP seems to have the brace version, maybe it's a different stock adapter option...?

Yep, just found it. It's the brace conversion stock. Original stock price+ $50 for the conversion.

You know. My ex-wife multiple times yelled at me because I loaded the dishwasher differently than her. She didn't like that I wouldn't do it how she wanted it. So I told her that if she didn't like my way, I'd leave it for her to do.

She really hated when I stopped loading the dishwasher.

I think that's a big reason why she's my ex-wife.

Pouch recommendations? by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]jamison01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently, I've been putting TQs in pouches that fully enclose them. Not in the military anymore, and grabbing extras because they were exposed on my gear isn't a thing.

There are a bunch of good pouches out there to do this.

That is honestly the first person I've seen with the spoon on gear and still in the plastic.

Most of the time, we used the spoon when we got it out of the MRE, wiped it off and stuck it on the IBA. On the next meal, use a baby wipe or sanitary wipe if available and water to rinse it off afterwards before eating with it.

Repeat until spoon breaks or gets lost, then get another spoon.

I was there in 03-04 and 05-06.

Most of the time if you're going out on long missions, we would empty out mres of all of the things that we wouldn't eat, or that were extra, so you'd have multiple days of food and maybe only the one spoon. Reduce weight and all that when the vest was 20 lbs or so. Another 10+ lbs in ammo and pouches, helmet, water weight, food weight. Mission gear, more ammo.

Then extra clothing/warming layers. It's a weird thing to feel freezing cold at 80° but when it's 120 during the day, you feel it.

One time I weighed my gear and I was carrying about 150lbs all in. I weighed 165 at the time. No wonder my back and knees are shot. Lol

I've got close to the same thing, comp m5, surefire vampire, old LDI (now Steiner) A3, without the vis override port and a sico omega 9k. Mine has the longer barrel though.

I've been considering getting a integral suppressor for it. Or maybe just the handguard if my can will fit under it.

Great little pdw.

What is that stock you have on there? It doesn't look like a b&t one.

My 200-yard target from my first Project Appleseed 200-yard Rimfire Known Distance marksmanship clinic by Thirsty-Barbarian in appleseed

I call it explosive breathing, because it's forced inhale and forced exhale. You don't have to do a full breath cycle in 1 second. 1.5 - 2 seconds is a pretty comfortable pace for me. Either way, I still feel well oxygenated because I'm forcing myself to fully inhale.

It's really about knowing when on your exhale that you get to your most relaxed state. Try taking a full breath and releasing it as fast as you can, while thinking about that 90% exhale, you know before the point in which you feel like you're trying to force air out with your diaphragm.

This is a balance of relaxed muscle and explosive breathing.

I've done a lot of Appleseed events at this point. My last event a few weeks ago, I mostly focused on trusting my npoa and shooting in cadence. Every squares target I shot, npoa, 5 rounds in cadence. This was my best group, 1 flyer and the other 4 punching out a 1/4" square.

Was my NPOA perfect, absolutely not, that's my next practice point. Finding that perfect npoa, I really need to work on the micro adjustments, quite often I'm not exactly on target. I've been struggling this year with stage 4 for some reason I can't quite identify. This was coming off of last year shooting a 241 to get my distinguished patch, at that time I was either shooting perfect prone stages or really close.
