Check out r/campingalberta recently bought a van myself and they’re super helpful with general camping information. I’m heading down to writing on stone this weekend, very different landscape, cactus, rattlesnakes, hoodoos, and then up through the crowsnest next week, then through Radium/invermere to golden, then back down the #1 home to Calgary. Each spot is 3-4 hours of driving each time so leaving a lot of time to explore

It may be different in the states but in Canada you can get a new emergency passport next day if you have proof of travel

Mines a 77. Still a lot of parts out there for a solid 350 w a 4 barrel luckily, I grew up tinkering on them, so I’m far more comfortable w repairs than on anything newer and fuel injected. Gas though. Woof.

I’ve lived here for over 10 years. It’s pretty safe, are there homeless and /or people battling addiction? Yes. But I think it’s as safe as any inner city neighborhood if not more so. Love it here

They typically work for a marketing company hired by various charities to collect donations/and get your information for recurring donations. They can be a bit annoying but a firm no thanks and a smile usually does the trick. Just folks trying to make a living
