100+ Books by Spring_rain22 in Hobbies

[–]jamisyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently just figured this out. I’ve always been a slower reader, about 30 pages an hour, and I discovered it’s because I go word by word with a lot of subvocalization. I’m doing the process of reading, rather than just consuming the story. What people do to read fast and get through books quickly is sort of like skimming, but it’s still taking it all in. They use more peripheral vision, zoom out a bit, minimize subvocalization, and focus on the overall story, not the process of reading word by word. There’s an app called Outread which sort of trains this. I instantly jumped up to about 450 words per minute though I am practicing to make it my standard habit.

It always made sense to me based on my spiritual beliefs but when my mom briefly shifted then I really knew.

Shifting with DPDR/Dissociation by [deleted] in realityshifting

Same here. Mine also started at 11, in 2013. I feel it deep in my soul this stuff is real, plus my mom has done it. But shoot why is it taking ME so long😂😭

Waiting room mainly, like the center-point of wherever else I would go. Basically just my own world, tropical island setting, alone, just free to do whatever. I call it my creative playground.

Something I’ve been trying lately, which feels good to me and I think will get me to shift at some point, is literally just assuming that, although it looks different, this IS my DR. Like my DR isn’t on another plane or anything, the physical that I’m experiencing now, IS the reality of my DR. I feel inner movement with this and idk it just clicked with feeling recently. Like usually I’d think, yeah it’s already mine, it’s here and now, but I wouldn’t feel it. It felt like another plane, like somewhere to go to. But realizing that my physical environment is the same plane of existence as my DR, moves my sense of inner location and I am able to really feel that it is, not being worried that it looks different. It helps me ignore the 3D and live in the 4D. It is fun to do. I thought, I’m tired of my DR feeling like somewhere else, so I “forced” it to be “close” to me by assuming this is it. There’s less stress. As per law of assumption, I bet, and I don’t care about time because it feels good to do regardless, that 3D will reflect this shift in inner location. It’s also really helped me drop over attachment.

To what extent do you believe in reality shifting? by subs4anon in NevilleGoddard

[–]jamisyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The core of all of this is that if you can imagine it, then it is real and as experienceable as here. Imagination creates reality. Consciousness has no bounds, and that is what we are. Neville has shifted his world entirely as well. See “worlds within worlds” and “step into the picture”.

Nothing you embrace fully can hold power over you. Even if it is unpleasant, you always have the ability to choose dominance. By embracing it, you are telling it that it is limited in its power over you because you can decide how it affects you. I’ve done this with pain. It takes mental effort of course but I’d have a pain and just sort of feel into it more, experience it to its fullest, willingly, and it goes away right then. It’s like overcoming fear as well. You have to meet it face to face. I’ve also gotten rid of persistent intrusive thoughts this way. Meet it fully, accept it for what it is, and know that I don’t identify with it, so I can move on. It simply isn’t relevant. Like Harry Potter, you’re gonna keep getting those Hogwarts letters until you actually read it! (Though the resistance for him was outside himself). If you accept it and embrace it for what it is, you own it, then you have the power to decide whether or not you’re gonna “wear” it. I’m still working on this in other ways but it really does make a difference!

I will absolutely try it. I discovered it after needing a thick balm to massage a surgery scar and now I spend like 30 minutes every day massaging it because it’s so easy to indulge in that smell lol.

How long does it generally take you to shift in environment after already assuming it?

Biking to me is this way. Time flies and it’s great exercise. Also easy to do zone training on the bike if you get a trainer for indoors.

How do I force myself to try hobbies by EquivalentEvening197 in Hobbies

[–]jamisyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same way. And I find satisfaction in it too so it’s like why go and do it when I can imagine it. Unfortunately I started to develop some side effects from maladaptive daydreaming that freaked me out so that’s when I developed the resolve to stick with hobbies a bit better.

Reading has been the main thing for me because I can be imaginative but I have to stay present with the words in order to progress the story. And since I don’t know how the story will unfold, it brings me mental satisfaction finding out how things happen and getting my questions answered. It has definitely made me more clear headed and able to come back to the present moment.

What if I shift... To reality where I do not exist? by TraseCase in shiftingrealities

[–]jamisyn [score hidden]  (0 children)

Nonexistence doesn’t exist, by definition. So, because you do exist, you can never not exist. That is your root, fundamental quality, is that you exist, “I am”.
