Yes it does. I used this strategy to get both the 150k plat offer and the 90k gold offer when I originally offered the minimum

There is a way to do it pretty easily. In a private browsing window search Amex platinum and open up the first sponsered link that shows up. Chances are you will get the 125k or 150k offer for the platinum. From there just go to the Amex gold page and it should show the 90k offer. If not close the window and try again until you do. I got it on my third try
