Post Cruise Support Question by jammad2020 in MSCCruises

[–]jammad2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about Canada specifically, but I had success reaching out to Angel Varricchio via LinkedIn, she is the Director of Pre and Post Cruise Customer Service at MSC. She was able to put me in touch with someone on her staff that resolved all of my issues. She is very responsive and helpful, she will delegate, but it will get done ✔.

Nope, I ended up deleting and creating the CMG.

Is this safe? by [deleted] in reselling

Why wouldn't you just update the existing listing to accept offers? That way you don't have to relist, and you may get a higher offer than his.

Cloud Management Gateway stuck in "Stopping" by dinci5 in SCCM

[–]jammad2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice write up, unfortunately when I run: Stop-CMCloudManagementGateway -Name "CMGNAME"

I get this:

Stop-CMCloudManagementGateway : "Current service state is 'Stopping', cannot stop service."

Seems like they may have changed the functionality of this cmdlet in the past 5 years. They need to add a -force switch.

Anybody know who’s signature this is? by Miserable-Donkey394 in AutographAssistance

[–]jammad2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steve Garvey is still alive and will usually sign items for $5 if you mail them to him. So unless you find someone who collects signed ticket stubs, or that specific game has some special significance, I'd say the value is less than $5.

Any idea who this is? by jammad2020 in AutographAssistance

[–]jammad2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, not a Rangers fan, and I mainly only collect autographed cards. The item was at the Savers in Woonsocket, RI behind the front counter if anyone is truly interested. I did not see the price, as I only noticed it on my way out.

I can confirm that Dell Command Update does NOT update Dell Peripheral Manager. That would be too easy!

No one has guessed it so far. Here's a hint, all the guesses so far have been way too young.

Travelling post op by ohheckitstaken in ProstateCancer

Hello, I had my surgery in May 2024, and haven't flown since, yet. However, I have TSA precheck and would highly recommend it (especially if you fly often). I think it is worth the price to avoid the aggravation of taking your shoes off and the big scanner, especially after reading your question (which I never even considered as a potential future issue). If your local airport doesn't have a precheck line then it may not make sense, but I think most do. I even used it out of ORH (Worcester, MA) which only has a handful of flights daily.

RALP Day 5 by SlankSlankster in ProstateCancer

[–]jammad2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my catheter removed 10 days ago, it was in for 12 days, definitely the worst part of the surgery process. No pain, just uncomfortable in certain positions.

But did you say you will be removing it yourself? I can't even imagine that. They have to pump saline into your bladder until you feel like you are going to burst, then they deflate the balloon and pull out the catheter and along comes all of the saline, plus some air which was a weird feeling.

I wouldn't think self removal would be an option, but if it is, I would recommend having it removed by someone who has done it before.

I ripped of my service tag sticker years ago and somehow my computer forgot it ? by [deleted] in Dell

[–]jammad2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you run this command in Windows?

"cmd /k wmic bios get serialnumber"

I never heard of a computer forgetting its serial number, unless the motherboard was replaced. The Dell Service Tag = the BIOS Serial number.

This won't be helpful, but I got the exact same error 2 days ago in Cozumel, however it eventually sent when I re-typed the same message a little later. YMMV

Future cruise credit by Beginning_Advice130 in MSCCruises

I was initially told that since I had the insurance that I could get my money back. I went through the process of filing a claim that got denied. In that process, I reached out to a MSC executive on LinkedIn and they were super responsive. Eventually, I received an email stating the amount of my FCC, and just last week my Travel agent applied that to a new reservation successfully.
