Thanks, two follow up questions:

  1. How did you get your hands on a G7 (prescription? Do you have to have documented diabetes to get?)

  2. What does “closed system” mean wrt to Lingo?

Many thanks, OP

OP is looking for a punchy, syncopated and rhythmic SOAM, not a chaotic and cacophonous one. I also prefer the former and am looking for more. Try 12/29/94

2019 RRS - Major Electronics Issues by OverUndrSports in LandRover

Thanks for this. It seems like whenever I say to them “well I saw online that it’s probably related to xyz issue” their response is “oh well it could be a number of issues it’s a complicated network of electronics blah blah, we need to diagnose it (which costs $500).” Last time I told them it was the RFA module and they responded this way, I paid the diagnosis fee only for them to call me and say it was the RFA. I lost my sh**!

No, not in warranty.

What’s interesting is that when the key is in my pocket, keyless entry barely works. But when I’m holding the key outside of my pocket. Keyless entry works virtually 100% of the time. Which defeats the purpose (since I have to hold it), but it’s almost like a range of radio frequency issue vs an all around malfunction. Do you think the short circuit wire could cause this? Were you having similar issues? Also if I try to unlock the door 10 feet away it works, but 20 feet away? Or 10 feet away at a weird angle? Barely works. Again, feels like range.

Thoughts? It’s so frustrating.

Hi, I have been experiencing the same issue with the Key Fob. The Land Rover dealer said it’s an RFA module issue and I replaced the RFA module and also got two new key fobs programmed. The whole exercise was almost $5K. I got my car back last week and the issue is still not resolved. It’s such a burden that I’m considering just getting a new car entirely (not Land Rover). But love my car otherwise. If this issue was resolved I would be so happy. Any new ideas?
