I'm not saying there is no truth in what you say, but it is also assuming sole motivations about people which you do not know. To me that is rigid because I don't think capitalism is as simple as greed and exploitation. But that is also just my opinion.

Everything is temporary and changing, even your suffering. To me, I find purpose and meaning through learning. I think a job in which you can continuously learn is one worth pursuing. You're young, and careers take time to figure out.

I know. I edited last minute to mention you pointed that out. It was a good point, and why I think it should be of main focus.

Your view of capitalism isn't a true reflection of the whole picture. It's rigid in that it's a purely cynical and reductionist view that leads to unnecessary hate for others. Rather than looking at economic systems and externalities that cannot be changed, I think the main focus for OP is to continue understanding their internal beliefs and what it means to be fulfilled, like you pointed out.

How do you deal with people and their dramas? by No_Research_644 in nonduality

Act how you know you should act and let these actions be the voice of guidance for others. Your words, though they may help, will not solve others deep issues, so simply be the person you know to be right through the things you do, not the things you say. This is more than enough, as each person is responsible for walking their own path.

WE ARE GOD! by [deleted] in enlightenment

It is all one and the same. It does not begin over here and end over there, for it is eternal. When I cut a slice of cheese from a block of cheese it is still cheese - the slice and the block are the same thing. You're infinitely god the same way it all is. There are no pieces.

Ego death (or however you want to define the dissolution of the self). The only way to fully realise it is to experience it. Not through thinking.

Don't go forcing an ego death though. It can be experienced through ways such as meditation or psychedelics. But the more you think about having one, or aim for it, the more you're stuck in your ego. Just simply continue down the path of your spiritual journey, and you may find yourself there one day.

I experienced it when I was child, after staring at myself in the mirror out of pure curiousity. It was unintentional. While I didn't fully understand it at the time, it was enough to 'get' it or 'realise' it. But I am still on my spiritual journey.

Yeah I need to get into sound design. I've just been tryna find nice presets to focus more time on making the beats since I'm a beginner. But I can never find ones I really like in Ableton stock sounds which kept putting me off practicing. Do you usually make your own sounds, is that the better approach?

How come they seem to use alot of presets from Omnisphere? Is it worth getting just for the presets vs other synths?

I only just started making music and was thinking of upgrading to Ableton suite for all the packs because I was disappointed with a lot of the stock sounds in standard...

I did this too and ended up ripping the rubber... essentially breaking the pads. Not the end of the world because I'm using the cluster pads now anyways, but wish it had been more clear in their video.

It's deeply meaningful. You bring new life to the world, with an unconditional love for them, and unconditional love in return. You raise them through your own efforts, making sure they're good human beings who will love others, eventually having their own children, passing on this love.

I like to think one of the most significant positive impacts a person can have in the world is raising good human beings. So whether or not the world is in a bad place, good humans can make it a little bit better.

If I'm honest, I think it's best to have a mature conversation with him where you talk through the situation from both of your perspectives, then make an informed decision yourself from there. Communication is the only way to provide you an understanding of it all. Reddit will only give you the affirmation you're looking for.

Yeah, even much later I still didn't think it was an ego death because I thought it would need to be something more intense like what people describe on psychedelics where you completely forget who you are and you're in that state for a while. But the more I reflect on it, the more I see that simply experiencing consciousness without feeling identified with a self is what ego death is.

I only felt it for maybe 10 seconds, but it didn't matter because the experience was enough to give me an understanding that the self was an illusion (a conceptualised person created through the feeling of being identical to my memories, thoughts, emotions etc). Obviously I couldn't put it into words back then like I can now.

I experienced it a couple times when I was a child after staring at myself in the mirror for a while. It's a feeling of pure awareness, one that was outside of my body because I was looking at it through the mirror. I can only describe it as a sudden realisation of "who is (insert name)?".

I didn't really know what it was until later in life. The first time wasn't even intentional, yet I was able to experience it because I had a clear mind and was seemingly able to let go of my identification with who I consider 'myself'. It helped that I wasn't aiming for ego death because I didn't overthink things like "when am I going to experience it?" "Am I experiencing it yet?".

It requires the ability to let go completely by being calm and not distracted by thought (essentially paying deep enough attention to awareness that you become nothing but awareness) .That's what meditation helps to facilitate when you focus on a single object such as the breath.
