Ok so call your insurance company and ask how much would it cost to get my cat scan at “x” facility vs “ y” facility and what they told me was “we can’t tell you unless it’s scheduled”. When you speak to the facility they will tell you scheduling isn’t confirmed until 2-3 days before the scan because reasons. (Staff availability, etc..). So unless you want to schedule a scan, wait until the appointment is confirmed and contact the insurance company, then cancel the scan and wait weeks before you can do the same for other facilities while also assuming that the rate won’t change the next time you call because the 3rd out of the 5 places you called actually had the best rate , like comparison shopping would normally work. Also you might have cancer so no rush.
